The Lakers deal is better then the NY deal. Why would Lakers do that knowing that Melo might not sign with them

This might force Donnie to add more. but I would rather trade them Chandler, Fields, Curry, and walker not GALLO

I dont care what Wade and Bron are, if your team has no balance you aint winning nothing in the NBA.

...and Its Denver's own fault for waiting this long trying to make a move, now they've been reduced to idiotic tactics. It would serve them well if NY calls their bluff because either way they're going to get someone to play alongside Amare
Sorry. Maybe I should have used the word 'super team' sarcastically.

But I agree with you on the Miami thing. I just labeled them 'super team' because that what the mainstream media labels them. In my eyes, I'll label them a super team once they win a championship.

BUT what I was really getting at was why the boycott because a team is getting another superstar despite the fact that they already have one?

Melo has no problem signing with LA. His wife wants to live in a big city like LA or NY. He isnt wedded to NY. LA is a possibility and the money works out where he could sign an extension.

Also, if he doesnt sign an extention, I really dont mind LA going for broke to get a 3rd ring in a row. Howard will be a FA in a few years and he has indicated he wants to go to LA. Trading Bynum could clear that path.

I have no idea why you guys are questioning if Melo will sign if he gets traded to LA. There is no way in the world he wouldn't sign. He would get all three of the things he says he wants. HE would get his money, his wife would be in the biggest spotlight in the world to try to expand her career, and there is no better team to land on than the two time defending champs. He would be a complete idiot not to sign if that trade goes down.

In reality there's not much NY can offer that is that enticing. So it's all moot IMO.

Denver should ask for much more than just Andrew Bynum and all of his injury questions.

And it's not like Melo is in control of his own fate here, so I hope Melo doesn't get any repercussions for this event if it happens to go down.
OK Miami is not no damn super team. They have three All-Stars with a decent Mike Miller and garbage. That's not a team let alone a super team.

If LA got Melo that would be the definition of a super team. The depth would be off the charts and the starting lineup would not be missing a single element.

True, but NY can give up more than Chandler from the latest rumour. That was terrible.

If they get a third team NY can save Denver a ton of cash as well, same with LA.

I'd rather have Bynum than Chandler for Melo, but Chandler/Gallo or Fields/something else is much better than that Den/Min/NY deal.

Right because thats exactly what everyone wants to see, right?

Look at all the people who swear by space and time itself that Miami is
                  some kind of super team

You might feel that way but he would prefer the Knicks to the Lakers. He can in the end decide to sign there but his first choice is the Knicks.

Lakers losing the size of Bynum and having soft Gasol is not going to win them a 3rd ring with another wing player.

Both Lala and Melo are both from NY not LA

Do not diso**** the NY Knicks if he goes to LA..

He can prefer the Knicks but its not like he would say no to LA. This isnt the Nets. Its the back to back world champs.

Anyway, if I'm Denver honestly I'd go with injury riddled Bynum and maybe Shannon Brown over anything NY can offer. Gallo/Chandler/First rounders? Blahhhhhhh

I'll go with the upside though faint with Andrew over role guys like Gallo/Chandler

Nobody said they would win it all but they damn sure would be in a better position to do so than the Knicks. There is no doubt about that.

So what if they both are from NY. They own a home in LA so it's not like they have to start anything new.

Again no way does he take the chance of losing 65 million just to move from LA to NY.
