Re: The Carmelo Anthony (NY or Bust?) Thread
This is what will happen with Melo
He will either get traded at or close to dead line to the Knicks and sign an extension or he get traded as a rental to another team which will lose him in the summer to the Knicks
Melo would make money outside of playing in NYC where he won't in Denver or any other city besides the Lakers or BullsComment

Re: The Carmelo Anthony (NY or Bust?) Thread
Be it a tatic or not, be it just a rumor or not, DEN front office has no clue on what they are looking for Melo or on what they would do at all ... whatever the result, to me, DEN seems to be trying to make it worse.

Re: The Carmelo Anthony (NY or Bust?) Thread
The Heats offense was very stagnant. Until the Heat get a better flowing offense this team is really going to have a hard time winning a championship. Talent alone won't do it come playoff time. I think in a 7 game series they don't stand a chance against Boston or Orlando. If the Bulls are completely healthy they have a legitimate shot at beating the heat as well. Not sure about Atlanta but when there clicking on all cylinders they could give the heat problems in the Playoffs but they just seem to fold come playoff time.Comment

Re: The Carmelo Anthony (NY or Bust?) Thread
Some Melo quotes after the game.
Melo on going the distance with trade or no trade:Melo on NJ:CBA is in the back of my mind, but as far as being afraid to play this out, I’m not. If that’s what it’s going to take then so be it. If I sit here and tell you I’m willing to lose $15-20 million, then I’ll be lying to you. But at the same time this has never been about money.I really don’t know where that came from about how if I was going to come here that extension wasn’t going to get signed.
I'll just enjoy watching him play while he's here.Comment

Re: The Carmelo Anthony (NY or Bust?) Thread
It won't matter because he probably won't sign an extension anyways. The exception MIGHT be the Bulls, but who knows if they want to make a play for him.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: The Carmelo Anthony (NY or Bust?) Thread
I just get a text about that Chris Brussard update
The deal would be fantastic for the Knicks because Chandler is not going to be resigned if we get Melo and now the Nuggest gets a nice player in Chandler and his Byrd rights along with Brewer and a first round pick. Not bad considering they have no leverage anymore
Knicks would be much better but still need a big guy to play Center. Key offseason would be to sign Gasol or JordanLast edited by Giants4Natic; 02-05-2011, 11:59 PM.Comment

Re: The Carmelo Anthony (NY or Bust?) Thread
I just don't understand why Minnesota would want to give up their 1st round pick and Brewer for Curry's expiring and Anthony Randolph. They already have Michael Beasley as a SF/PF so Randolph isn't really going to do anything for them and yeah the expiring contract is nice, but that 1st round pick is most likely going to be another top 5 pick. I would have thought they would want to hold onto that.NFL: Bills

Minnesota has gazillion first rd picks and the one they are sending are probably from Utah when they traded for Al Jeff.I just don't understand why Minnesota would want to give up their 1st round pick and Brewer for Curry's expiring and Anthony Randolph. Re: The Carmelo Anthony (NY or Bust?) Thread
Denver would have had a chance at Gallo a few months ago if they took the Knicks serious.
Now they have to accept what the Knicks offer or go to FA and see what happens.
Chandler is a good player who is only 23 and will be a nice player for Denver.
Plus now they have 2 first rounders and also BrewerComment
