I think there is a distinction between "soft" and "fragile/injury prone". Vince isn't soft to me.

To me, soft is Barnangi, LaMarcus Aldridge and Channing Frye. Guys that are allergic to the paint/rebounding or who shy away from any contact. By nature these will fit the bill for big men.

Soft is like a choice. You choose to play the way you do.

Vince on the other hand has shown some durability over the past several years, he just always seems to tweak something. He can't control that.

Vince is soft too. Prime Vince that had his unworldly hops would try and dunk on people. but even then he didn't like contact that much. Vince now pretty much avoids contact at all costs.

Also, any time he takes even a little bit of contact, he's down like he just got shot. That's soft to me.

Actually I 100% agree with you on all of that

I guess I was more directing my response at "Oh Vince got hurt again, he's so soft".

But yeah his play is soft as well LOL

I don't know if I agree with the assessment that the Sixers are a horrible team. Yes they are 2-5 (they are a few plays from being 4-3) but Elton Brand has played very well this season. Lou Williams makes a very good 6th man, Holiday is going to be a very good point guard in this league. Then you have Noconi, Thaddeus Young, Speights and I think Evan Turner will be a solid but not great NBA player.

I think they should be able to get a 7th or 8th seed in the East because I think they 8 to 9 guys that are rotation guys. They do lack a legit center and a superstar but I still think they should be able to get a 7th or 8th seed. I just think this isn't a horrible team not saying it's great or very good either but basically an average team.

Who knows how good or bad Philly is, I just know they are almost unwatchable. Especially with Iggy not in there.

Evan is playing well though. Overall just a bunch of non-captivating players though outside of Iggy.

Atrocious and completely uninteresting basketball. Both teams have been dreadful to watch for the past three years or more. Like nails on a chalkboard.

Oh well, Hawks/Suns coming up in a few hours should be cool.

Although I really don't give a damn about what either of those teams accomplish in the regular season because they're both going to be non factors if they get to the playoffs.
I don't care how bad a broadcaster he is, calling Clyde Frazier an idiot is bball sacrilegous.

I guess I'm going to a bad part of hell then.

Magic, Isaiah etc. are all terrible to listen to as well.

                  Embarrassing.

Clyde and all of his forced descriptions/metaphors aren't even mildly amusing.

This really doesn't surprise me. Especially since he sure as hell doesn't play like it.

BTW, when/where did you hear him say this? Sounds like an interesting story, lol.

Exactly. But because he can't control it(then again which Athlete CAN control the type of injury they get)he's considered soft, which is the most overused term in ALL of Sports.

Suns playing great D and solid offensively, but I guess we're not going anywhere anyway so it's irrelevant.

This is the Turk I was talking about when he first got traded.. dude should be able to light up the stat sheet on this team.

Yeah PHX isn't going to win a title this year, just like a whole lot of other teams. So bottom line what they do in the regular season is pretty much irrelevant. Obviously if you're a PHX fan, it's different.

I don't know, I think the most overused term would have to be either clutch, or quarterback. I mean there's a quarterback in football obviously, the point guard is the "quarterback" for basketball, and the pitcher is the "quarterback" of baseball. Apparently anyone who controls the ball for the majority of the time is the quarterback.
