Rose is a solid PG, but he doesn't compare to Deron, CP3, or Nash

Re: OKC: Who is their best player?

You must be high to think Westbrook is their best player. Who led the NBA in scoring last season? Who was FIBA MVP this offseason? Who do the Thunder rely on as their go to guy? Hell, Westbrook can't shoot, he makes bad decisions, and you're saying he may be the best PG in the NBA? Mind you there isn't a PG better than KD, and if there was one, it certainly is not Westbrook. Still, I heart Russell Westbrook. <3

Re: OKC: Who is their best player?

I honestly feel that Westbrook is OKC's best player.

I remember OKC becoming a completely different team the minute Westbrook stepped on the court a few seasons ago.

I remember when Westbrook was originally benched in favor of Earl Watson and watching Kevin Durant and Jeff Green struggle. I even remember drawing laughs at the arena whenever I would call Kevin Durant "Kevin Brickrant" (Yea I know, clever) watching him clang contested jumpshot after contested jumpshot.

Westbrook makes OKC a better team. Durant became MUCH more effective when Westbrook's minutes increased and OKC as a team became much more competitive.

People seem to think that Durant takes the pressure off of Westbrook but it's really the other way around. Westbrook can get to the rack whenever he wants and hits the mid range jumper enough to keep the defense honest, plus he is absolutely fearless and will take over when the rest of the team is struggling and isn't afraid to take big shots, not to mention having great court vision and making plays for others.

Best player? I think Westbrook wins more matchups than Durant.

But how many PG can go get theirs like Westbrook? A lot.

How many 6'11 dudes can spread the floor and score at will like Durant. A handful.

THe question of best player is really irrelevant. If you are talking talent, I think OKC's best player is James Harden. If you are talking impact in game I think it is Durant. If you are talking importance I think it is Serge Ibaka.

Just when I thought the thread couldn't get any weirder. James Harden the most talented Thunder player? Why do you say things like this

OSU, I definitely think Westbrook has inserted himself into the discussion of the top point guards this season, but I don't think you even really believe he's having a better year than CP3.

As far as OKC's best player, by the end of the year it'll be Kevin. He's their go to guy who will compete for a scoring title again. He's the guy defenses scheme for first, and who OKC runs their offense through.

I'm just not sure how you can say Westbrook is their best player... of course he makes the offense go, he is one of the better defenders in the league for his position and can score like crazy... but Durant will be an MVP candidate for years to come.

I don't think this is even a debate. Kevin is a top 5 player overall, while it would be a struggle to place Westbrook as a top 5 player at his position.

However, a quick look at the stats and watching the games...I think KD is the second fiddle to Russell Westbrook. I mean, Westbrook is really, REALLY good. He may be the best PG in the NBA and that's saying something with the PGs we have right now.

I know you cannot go wrong with either player...but I think, at the moment and into the future, Westbrook is going to be the better player. He's more efficient, provides multiple avenues of production and is a good leader.

Re: OKC: Who is their best player?

James Harden to me has the most talent. All around. He is the 6th option in OKC. But I think you will see later on in his career how talented he is overall.

Durant I have never been sold on because he is still a one dimensional offensive player. Obviously a great player but I just don't see him as a winner. I probably put to much emphasis on college but he never looked like a player that could win it all. I think he is really overrated this year.

Westbrook looks great because he has games where he looks unstoppable because he gets 10 open shots a game....one good playoff series isn't enough to convince me he is anything more than a Ben Gordon type of player (w/ out the 3 and much better D).

Anyway to each there own. These three were all lottery picks....its not like we are talking about some unknown quantities here.

You lost me on that last part. Harden is going to be good, but he's not Kevin Durant or Westbrook right now.

Harden would have the most comparable value if I were going to make a trade for anyone on the OKC team.....

Harden is/will be a solid role-player. Above average athleticism, no right-hand at all, inconsistent jumper. That is not supreme talent.
