Tonight I saw an Atlanta Hawks performance from the Playoffs against the Magic. Zero hustle, dedication, and heart and all ISO.

As Born mentioned, Haslem and Miller HAVE to be healthy in the Playoffs. Even with that they will still have problems. Absolutely zero post presence and no one at point to play solid defense. They can make it work but right now I see no desire to do so.
You basically echoed a post I had earlier about Spoelstra as a coach. He’s not the coach for this team and it is definitely showing. Once Riley takes over as coach, it should be interesting to watch because players would actually respect Riles more than Spoelstra. Yeah, it sounds messed up because players should respect their coaches no matter who it is BUT in reality players like James will only respect the successful coaches. And Spoelstra seems like a fair guy BUT he just doesn’t have the pedigree of a Pat Riley.

And as I stated before, if they have to depend on Haselm and Miller to win the championship…then something was wrong with this team from the get go.
I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm X

LeBron at 4 now.....lol these threads get better and better.

edit: Also was reading Erik Dam was a pretty much lock with the team. They are just trying to figure out who to cut.

They'll probably get better and on track as the season goes on and have the last laugh. For now however these clowns are hilarious and it's fun seeing all this go down.

Really Chris? Is that what you all knew? Cause what I remember was.....

The 1:16 mark. Yeah...according to that at least one of you expected this to be easy.

This is an interesting injury, as the same player was injured (Haslem) in my 2K association, and controlling all-30 teams and being limited via the cap I traded Mario Chalmers to the Clipps for PF Craig Smith and a 2nd Rd pick. Haslem had a back injury that would keep him out 8 weeks or longer so I needed to make a move for the Heat... Wonder what they'll do??

                  Ah the victory parade.

The only thing that is easy is the ability for others to penetrate against them.

Too true my man, too true. But hey, they got Ericka down low now so the league is on notice, they won't be pushed around.

Sources are claiming that Haslem may be out for the entire season. Seems there was more damage than they thought. If true, horrible news for Miami.

Would they get some type of exception like Portland is trying to do with Oden because they are gonna need if this is true.

Yep, they will be able to use up to $1,750,000.

That's a big blow to the Heat... Their front court is Bosh, Anthony, Magloire, Dampier, Big Z, and Juwan Howard... Pathetic...

And Haslem isn't even that good so for this injury to be such a big blow just shows how dumb it was signing 3 guys (w/ wreckless abandon) at/near the max and not value any sort of depth.

Sure Bron is like 6'9, 6'10 but he's still not a guy that's going to get down low and do the dirty work of true 4. Who's going to be at the 5 while he's playing PF? Z? Bosh? How do they avoid getting destroyed inside anyway like that? LeBron is a chase down shot blocker, not a guy who's going to block shots in the interior and how many guys is he really going to box out? He was content on standing around watching guys attack the basket tonight against the Pacers. I dunno, I just don't see how playing Bron at the 4 more often is any kind of solution to they're issues right now.
The need to get 100+ shots up a game. Increase the tempo. That is how they can win.

Haslem doesn't add anything that Bosh, Z or Juwan Howard can't do. Haslem is just a good hustle guy with no real great skill. Great competitor but he isn't a shot blocker, isn't a great one on one defender and offensively is limited.

I don't see what the big deal is, except it hurts their depth a little more. But Bosh can handle 40 minutes a night.

The Heats problem is the top 3 players haven't set the tone to play harder than the other teams top 3 players. Rebounding is about effort. Which can be changed by Wade, James and Bosh playing with energy and effort every minute.

I agree with the tempo but rebounding is more than effort. It's about strength and the ability to go down there and bang. Bosh has no desire to do so nor does he have the strength to do so. LBJ's rebounding has always been and solid and as so has Wade's for a two guard. What more can they do?

Problems go deeper than that though. Should be interesting to see what happens.
