He wasn't for like the first 20 or so games.

Edit: Personally, I don't think it's as cut and dry (is that the way the saying goes?) as a lot of other people that say it's Rose easily. I think it's Rose first, Dirk second, Lebron third, CP3 4th, and Durant 5th. Rose has had Noah or Boozer out the entire year and has absolutely carried the team on his back like Greg Jennings with the broken leg on youtube (I hope you all have seen that video) and the Bulls have one of the best records in the league.

They need to define what the qualifications for the MVP are. Until they do that you will get a million different opinions.

I know what you mean guys. MVP means something different to everyone here.

But I'm going with what I've seen the last few years. Best player on best team. Unless the Bulls crack the 2 in the East. I think it is LeBron.

Not to go LeBron ***** mode here cause I'm definitely not trying to do that....but if that's the criteria you're going to go by, then how is it LeBron? The best team in the league is San Antonio, the best team in the East is Boston, so how are you going best player on the best team and ending up with LeBron? And why do the Bulls now have to be a top 2 seed for it to be Rose? They have the same record as the Heat right now, maybe one more loss. Legit question though.

Rose is the MVP for this reason. The Bulls have the 5th best record in the league. The 4 teams ahead of the Bulls either are more talented as a whole, or in Miami's case, have arguably the top 2 players in the league. I feel any player on a team that has a worst record than the Bulls should not be considered for MVP because Chicago has dealt with injuries those other teams haven't dealt with.

Well, I wouldn't say the Bulls have been hit the hardest by injuries league-wide, but out of the MVP candidates, yes the Bulls have had the toughest luck with injuries.

IMO, for Lebron to win MVP, he has to lead the Heat to the number one seed in the East. None of that two seed bull****.

There will never be a set criteria for MVP because every season is different.

All I know is there have been a lot of botches with who has won, at least IMO.

No doubt, Derrick Rose is the MVP as of right now - I won't say the Bulls will get to the NBA Finals but that's one team I wouldn't want to play in the 2nd round if healthy. Chicago is a SG away from beating the likes of Boston or Miami in the East......

Totally agree there! But I will say that its the same way since Karl Malone stole Jordan's last MVP with the Bulls in 1998. Whoever is the top player on the best team usually wins.

That was the 96-97 season Malone won over Jordan and the Bulls were still the best team that year. They finished 69-13, the Jazz finished 64-18.

The Bulls are gonna have a VERY strong bench once everybody is healthy. Gibson, Thomas, Korver, Brewer, Asik and Watson are all very capable producers.
