I'm not even gonna say anything about picking wall over blake durant and all the other young guys, but how many teams build around PGs win a chip? whens the last time nash cp3 deron or rose went to the finals? The cavs were built around bron and made it the celtics were built around garnett,06 miami was built around wade and lakers were built around shaq.Having john
wall as the 1 guy on your team would not be a smart move.

When's the last time LeBron won a chip? LeBron who plays like a 6"10 PG mind you.

This is one of the worst reasons I've ever seen/heard for picking an MVP. So just pick who you'd draft first in a fantasy draft? So it doesn't matter if the team sucks or anything, if you'd take the guy first in a draft, they're the MVP?

I wouldn't give it to LeBron just yet. Rose is pretty hot right now (tight race). I would believe Durant will make a push. But I just don't see his team getting into a top 3 spot right now. To me the West will finish something like Spurs, Lakers, and then Mavs. If the Thunder can finish in the Top 3 of the West. I would vote for Durant in my opinion.

ok lebron hasn't won a chip because cleveland didn't build around him well enough, you need a good 2nd option on any championship team, shaq had kobe, jordan had pippen, and lebron had jamison/washed up shaq/MO?! Anyways who ever you'd pick first in a fantasy draft out of all the NBA players is the Most Valuable Player because that's who you wanted first and you picked him over everybody else

They had a 2-1 lead on the Celtics last year before the team, led by LBJ, folded up like a beach chair. The Cavs were a very good team a year ago. They had just as good a chance of winning as the Lakers, Celtics, Magic, Mavs, etc.

And no, because who you would draft in a fantasy draft has nothing to do with how they're playing this year. In a fantasy draft, I would take Kevin Durant or Dwight Howard. Durant could end up winning the MVP, but we'll see.

I have Rose, Nowitzki, LBJ, and then Paul/Durant for my MVP rankings.

so you're saying rose is the most valuable player in the NBA and you'd rather have him then kobe wade or lebron?

Nope. I'm saying this year he's deserving of the MVP award over those three guys.

LeBron made a huge stamp yesterday. He has had a lot of those "Exclamation" mark game this year. But I still have it as a tied with Rose right now.

For what it's worth, I think Durant's had one or two of those recently as well. The 43 and 10 game for example. If the Thunder can make a run and get one of the top seeds, he could definitely be a contender. Right now I still have it as Rose, Dirk, LeBron, CP3/Durant

Yeah actually, I'd say Dirk and LeBron are pretty even right now and that LeBron might have a very slight edge.

Re: Who is your NBA MVP as of right now?

I don't know how anyone can give it to LeBron, Wade, or Bosh (not that he's being considered). One of them being the MVP just isn't conducive when LeBron can go 7/28 and Wade bails him out by scoring 40...and vice versa. And then, yes, there is the matter of how this was orchestrated, which, while potentially ensuring success, made it hard to discern a guy who is that much more integral than the other 3.

On a game in, game out basis, Miami's achilles heel is in the paint. If Bosh doesn't hold his own against the better teams, they become even more vulnerable, even if Wade and James are better players.

The MVP is typically interpreted as the guy who is most instrumental to success, and with the big 3, that becomes muddled.
