You could find games like that for every player in the MVP talks. I think people are putting too much into this whole Super Friends thing. I totally understand the logic behind it....

But again my list still stands as Rose, LeBron, Dirk, and Durant.
I can say that because I watch near every Bulls game, every year and unless they're playing the Cavs they don't have the players on the squad capable of blowing a team out by 18 points without Derrick making some heavy contributions either through scoring or at least with his passing.

good article and nice points on Rose imo, but it's crazy that this writer doesnt have Dirk anywhere in his top 10, and not even an "honorable mention"

Mavs are #2 seed in the gauntlet west and the Mavs were 2-8 without Dirk. They are 31-7 with him. If that doesnt deserve MVP consideration then I dont know what does

Here is another nice read. Kind of talks about what I said before about being on a good team and being the best player.
MIAMI -- LeBron James is in the midst of putting Most Valuable Player voters in an awkward position. On Monday, the league named James its Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the fourth time this season.

Even as a scorned Clevelander, I have to go with LeBron. When it was evident the Heat had just Wade and Bosh on July 1, I thought they were a 50-win team. Right now, I don't know if they're even that good without LeBron.

You could say Durant, but he hasn't jumped out at me. I'd have to put Rose and LeBron as A and B right now because the Bulls have made that jump record-wise. Of course, the only reason the Bulls are where they're at is because LeBron is no longer in the Central.
After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!

Holy backhanded comment Batman. No that's not the only reason the Bulls are where they are. I suppose LeBron and the Cavs didn't benefit from a piss poor central for at least the last two years either right? Funny how nobody said the Cavs were where they were cause the Pistons were no longer a threat. The Bulls actually got better, LeBron being in the central still is no guarantee that the Cavs would be dominating teams in THIS NBA and they still would have the injuries they've dealt with. Hell the Bulls have only played the Cavs twice this year so I'm failing to see how LeBron's absence puts the Bulls where they are, if anything they'd be neck and neck.

LeBron with a 41 13 8 game... If those are not MVP numbers I don't know what is. I don't know about you guys. But LeBron just jump ahead of Rose after last nights game (slightly).

Sounds stupid right now. But the Heat are semi tied with the Celtics right now. If they win out for the week. Sunday will a show down for the East.

I was reading a article the other day asking for Knick fans to stop chanting "MVP" to Amare. I thought it was so funny.

How can one game against a losing team put him over the top?? Especially considering the previous two games Wade has been the best player on the court putting up 28,8,and 8 and a triple double of 22,12, and 10?? I could see the national TV game against Orlando giving him a boost in the ranking but not a home game against the Pacers.

Which is why last week I said that Lebron and Wade were just taking turns. The Heat are not winning anything without one or the other. Lebron and Bosh ain't winning ish, and Wade and Bosh ain't winning ish. They both are, in my opinion, equally valuable to the Heat.

I agree and it does seem like they are taking turns dominating games. That is why I can't put LeBron over Rose right now. Wade is a luxary that nobody else in the league has.

Wow... didn't I say sightly... I didn't expect a "all out attack" lol.... I said "sightly"... Rose has lost 2 games to teams they should have easily beat. The Heat are hot right now. I'm not even worried about Wade at this point. I know the games he has had guys.

I was just on ESPN... and I don't feel too bad now... someone has it the same way.

I mean I still have Bron just slightly behind Rose though. IMO, Rose and Wade would have to fall off production wise for Bron to win. Unless Bron just started playing out of his mind, which he has been doing lately.

LeBron is the best player in the NBA but the best player doesn't always win MVP. What he is doing is great but nobody can deny the help Wade brings. I mean just look at Wade's numbers in December and Janurary. He put up 28,7, and 4 and 29,7,and 4. Those are MVP level numbers themselves. His season numbers are 25,7,and 4. Nobody has won an MVP with a teammate putting up those kind of numbers.

Right now I have him second to Rose. I give Rose the edge for how he has carried his team to the record they have with the injury problems they have had. They are 3 games behind Miami and 3.5 behind Boston right now. When the season started nobody would have thought the Bulls would be that close to first in the East especially if you told them that both Boozer and Noah would miss major time due to injury.
