I agree with all those guys. Going off of what we have seen this year it is a hell no to top 5 and a strong no to top 10.

Well said guys, not if he keeps playing like he is now. Its a bad time to make that kind of a statement about him being top anything

Back to the summer - in good 'ol 20/20 hindsight, the decision each player made spoke volumes about their character. Amare wanted the tough challenge, to be the man, to take on the leadership role. Bosh wanted to coast behind the two best players in the game in a lesser role. No shocker that Amare became a stud and Bosh is the running joke of the 2011 season.

Very very true and well said. Amare had been saying for a couple of years that he wanted to be the man on a team and felt he could get it done as the face of the team. He has shown all year that he has some leadership in him and wants to make it happen. On the flip side you could see from day one of free agency that Bosh just wanted some shine and limelight and wanted to join up with somebody for the ride. They have took differnt turns in their career no doubt this year.

Come on now he has not been regulated to leftovers and scraps. He has had plenty of chances to attack and be agressive but has decided not to. Yes he has always been a faceup big man but he attacked off the dribble in Toronto. He simply isn't doing it now. Nobody said he had to become Al Jefferson on the block but just standing around shooting jumpers is not going to cut it. All it takes is one look at his shot selections this year to see he isn't attacking or taking advantage of less defensive pressure. He hasn't even taken half of the amount of shots at the rim as he had last year. On the flip side of that though he has already taken more 16 to 23 foot jumpshots than he took all of last year and has taken the same amount of threes. That in itself tells you that he is settling for jumpers when he could easily beat his man to the rim and score or draw the foul.

As far as how much his numbers have dropped let's go by last year instead of career averages. Bosh has dropped by 6 points and 2 rebounds. LeBron has dropped by 3 points and his rebounding hasn't changed. Wade has dropped by 1 point and has actually increased his rebounding. Another telling number that shows Bosh's lack of aggresiveness compared to LeBron and Wade his free throw attempts have dropped by 3 a game. Wade's is pretty much the same and LeBron's has dropped by one. Those numbers speak volumes. The reason why Bosh's numbers have dropped so much more than LeBron and Wade is again tied directly to him not being aggressive offensively or on the glass.

I never said he wasn't a top 5 PF back with the Raptors. He was a top 5 PF then but with the way he is playing now he is not. I don't see how it could be disputed. Again Playing with Boston and the Lakers hasn't stopped KG and Gasol from being top level PF's because they are and have taken advantage of the chances to not have to face double teams every night. Both KG and Gasol's FG% jumped up to career high levels when they joined their new teams Bosh on the other hand has not.

Nice post...I get what your saying I guess I thought people were expecting Bosh to be a beast and he has never had that type of game. With that being said I still think he is playing decent but he can do more.

Two thoughts.

First, Bosh has commonly been mistaken from an All-Star to a superstar.

Second, I think he's kind of fallen victim to the fact LeBron and Wade don't mix well together in a half-court set. I have been surprised, though. I thought Bosh would have been a perfect fit with LeBron in Cleveland. Now, I guess that wouldn't have been the case. Or would it?

Same years, pretty much the same money (I think a difference of 4 million or something) but the difference is that New York guaranteed all the years while Phoenix only guaranteed the first two or three.

List I made. I wouldn't necessarily take all these guys over Bosh, but it's just a visual list. Obviously it depends on future seasons too, or if its just for one year, or whatever.

It was almost unanimous among Knick fans (myself included) that we wanted Bosh over Amare

OH hell no don't include me in that group. I was pulling for Stat and Dwade all year.

I kind of compare Bosh to Gasol. He is a really skillful guy. He played on (what some would say) a ok team. As a big men. He doesn't bang for his points with his back to the basket. But his face up game is top notch for a big man (Amare and Dirk come to mind). He is a above average rebounder. You might get a block out of him once a game.

But from the list TheMatrix31 put up. I don't know about Brand, Jefferson (and maybe Odom). I wouldn't put them on that list. That just me.

The best Bosh I've seen this season during Dec. That Chris Bosh was being really aggressive and he was hustling like crazy. He made his life so easy because he was getting easy points near the basket (alot on offensive rebounds). And not settling on his jumper.

Bosh is a good player but he's in that B grade group of guys. He's never going to be the franchise leader. Yes, he was "the leader' in Toronto but that was mainly because there was no one else to step up. Bosh is one of those guys who's a good #2 who can distribute the ball and make some shots. He's never going to be a force inside the paint because he's just not aggressive enough of a player.

I found it funny how early in the year everyone in the US media was shocked at how Bosh was more of a spot jump shooter/perimeter guy most of the time. It's like no one in the US watched a single Raptors game all the time he was up here.

Really, he should've went to a team like Houston or Chicago where his talents were better suited and the whole specter of being on a "ZOMG! this is a super team!" wouldn't be hanging over him like the sword of damocles.

I like Bosh, he's a nice guy and a good secondary/once in a while franchise player but he doesn't have the make up to take on everything that's going on in Miami right now. In that respect I feel bad for him but he made his bed and this is what he'll have to live with. He's always going to be viewed as the Salvatore "Turtle" Assante (from Entourage) of the NBA because of this.

If you ask me Bosh is suffering from being sorrounded by elite superstars and is being exposed because of it. Bosh is a superstar in his own right. Meaning if he was thrown on another team like Toronto, he would excel. Making him a 3rd option has killed his game. I also think playing with players like Lebron isn't easy. Lebron's expectations were inflated from the begining and I think Bosh cant handle that type of pressure. Give him a squad where he is the leader and everyone looks up to him, he would be back to his Toronto numbers.

I cant even front, I wanted Bosh before Boozer but I'm glad it played out like it did now. I still say that Bosh would of definitely be better off playing in Chicago. I believe he would have performed much, much better under the system Chicago has. Unlike Miami who's offensive playbook consist of nothing but iso plays and cherry picks, Chicago's set half court would have been much more suitable for his style of play. As of now, he wanders around on the offensive side of the ball, watching and waiting for Wade or Bron to pass him the ball. And when he does get the ball, he's rarely in a position to make a play. Instead he has to create one and by then, the defense has adjusted and is ready for him.
