    Granger-superstar
    Hibbert- decent post presence
    Semi Robin- Collison
Capable [seems like he is] coach

They need to figure out if Tyler is gonna be their permanent starter. They need to add a true Robin. Move George to the bench to solidify the 2nd unit. George/McRoberts/Dunleavy is decent support.
    You think so?

I like Granger and think he's and excellent player...but superstar?

I think he means that Granger is the superstar of the team.

Granger=star/go to player who can get you 30 on any given night. He's a shoe-in All-Star, of course he isn't the elite of the elite, but he's definitely a higher caliber than say an Iggy. Granger I view as a Joe Johnson.

I hear all that and sure Rondo's slump and the post trade malaise reflected that time, but I don't see the current inconsistency as a lingering effect of the trade. Strictly speaking on the court, the Celtics are much different with Shaq/Perkins in the middle than they are currently. Not to mention that the C's defense really hasn't slipped much if any, rather its their offense that has been mired in the 80s (outside of shooting lights out vs the Spurs). Rondo's reduced aggressiveness and the lack of size at the 5 with no Shaq/Perkins, far to few shots for Ray (and far to few solid screens to free him [which goes back to no Shaq/Perkins]) are key culprits. Chalking it up to emotional distress from a trade does the team a disservice IMO.

I don't think its ballsy at all to think the frontcourt pf Shaq/Jermaine/Green/Baby/Krstic can win a title. I question your statement that they don't believe in Shaq, as I thought the chemistry with Shaq was comparable to chemistry with Perkins -- on the court. Shaq only played 5 minutes last sunday but he fits in so well with the Celtics that I can see him starting the playoffs without missing a beat. I see Shaq/Jermaine splitting the center minutes with Krstic getting maybe 8-12 mpg. Shaq has looked very good all year long (figuratively) with the starting five, and since his return Jermaine has looked like last year's version with fresh legs. Perkins is great at what he does but provided Shaq & Jermaine combine to give you 30+ minutes and Jeff Green spells Pierce and plays agressively, he is somewhat expendable. That's 3 big ifs and a somewhat at the end but still.

As far as Green, its up to Doc & the 2nd unit to figure out how to effectively utilize his talents. All we've seen so far is that he plays well with Rondo and can post up 3s. Just keep Glen Davis under 4 shots outside the paint each game and that rotation is good. We just haven't seen it yet.

Murphy is pure insurance. I'm almost mad you threw him in the rotation and Green under the bus I don't care how good his Casper impersonation was last year.
What I mean by that Shaq statement is that he's old and always hurt. It was gonna be a great challenge with a 100% healthy Shaq as your starting center, but with how he's never healthy now... ouch.

I do believe Celtics win if Perkins was in game 7 last year. Now that you're throwing your title hopes on Shaq/Jermaine/Baby? Ballsy. Especially considering Andrew won't be 50% like he was last year, he's close to 100% now. Kobe also had his knee drained twice last year in the playoffs. If LA should make the finals, I mean that's gonna be tough for Boston on the interior.

To say Perk was expendable, wow. I really hope Boston doesn't get anywhere near the title now just to prove how much Perkins' worth was to that specific unit/team.

All I'm saying is, I don't think it's a disservice at all to chalk up their struggles to that trade. It makes sense.

Good Points. But KG is healthy again & Pierce is having a career year (he also was getting his knee drained). Regardless, Celtics haven't gotten seen a 100% Bynum in June yet.

This is what makes the playoffs & finals great though. I look forward to watching these things play out. That is, of course, not to ignore the opponents that gave the C's their last two blowout losses.

            That's true about KG/PP.

Could also point out though, well actually you guys already all pointed it out, how it's weird that Rondo is playing differently.

If or when Green convinces me he can actually make an impact off the bench it'll change my view of the trade.

But honestly for now I haven't seen anything to get excited about. I could be biased though since I never really thought of him too highly to begin with. I'm not too fond of tweeners. Also considering how he's being moved as an undisputed 3rd option to a bench role... I didn't like the prospect of that. Even with Westbrook/Durant, Green still put up a lot of shots.

Yep, OKC/LA would be the best western playoff matchup possible.

              A mix of entertainment/star power/quality/good coaching

Just good basketball that is exciting basketball.

Let's hope they can meet up in the conference finals

I wouldnt call this first half of the OKC\LAL game bad defense....the O is just top notch...

I have to say though, OKCs bigs are something serious....

Pau? Na I'm not gonna single him out. Sure he hasn't performed his best, but tonight he played pretty damn good.

taking games off, late in the season, doesnt matter my ***

LA wanted that one and OKC took it.

cant wait for a possible series...

the whole team played bad defense tonight but him personally has not played well on that end for quite a few games.

offensively he was fine. its disgusting seeing Drew at least try an defend the hoop and he just stand there like an ***.

Not sure where to find a chart for the playoff bracket, but I do know that the NBA doesn't re-seed so things are locked in. The 1 seed will play the winner of the 4/5 matchup. This is done so that the one seed can avoid a potential second round matchup with the two or three seeds. So the in the West if the playoffs started today the Spurs/Grizzlies (1 & 8 seeds) would get the winner of Thunder/Nuggets (4 & 5 seeds), obviously that leaves the Lakers/Hornets (2 & 7) facing the Mavs/Blazers (3 & 6) winners.
