So the in the West if the playoffs started today the Spurs/Grizzlies (1 & 8 seeds) would get the winner of Thunder/Nuggets (4 & 5 seeds), obviously that leaves the Lakers/Hornets (2 & 7) facing the Mavs/Blazers (3 & 6) winners.
Ah, thats what I was looking for...ugh I do NOT want to play the Thunder in the second round...

I guess the Lakers and Celtics don't plan on winning again until the playoffs start.

            Samething I said jason lol.

I remember about a month ago I was PMing some on this forum about the lakers being too hot coming out of ask star break. You don't want to them to peak too early. Hopefully it ends soon.

edit: That LeBron James play where he throws the ball at O'Neal. You know LeBron still could of got a shot up instead of throwing it at O'Neal lol. But it's O'Neal he almost ends up in the crowd lol.

Lakers can drop all the to the fourth spot?... Isn't that crazy? I don't expect them to lose again. But wouldn't it be crazy if they dropped down to 4th.

Lakers really could drop to 4. That's just incredible considering the streak they had after the break.

The thing that worries me the most is if Lakers happen to make the finals they are risking home court. They need it.

Out west they should be OK with whatever seed they get. They have no excuses. They're healthy. They have the best team on paper, the best coach the best player the best closer the deepest team etc etc

They should be able to get to the conference finals at the very least

No playoff threads popping up yet or are we waiting til the season is officially over?

Might as well start em up right now since we already know which 16 teams are in.

It's crazy but it's pretty much how things were last year and part of why I was telling guys about how good OKC could be and them being a seven seed last year shouldn't be a knock on them cause they could have been between a two and eight seed because of how close the West teams were to each other.

We know which teams are in but we really don't know which matchups we're getting yet outside of Bulls/Pacers and Magic/Hawks. Everything else is still fluid until Wed.

i hear ya on most of that, but do they really have the deepest team? Odom is probably better than any other team's #6, but after that they dont have much imo. Blake? Brown? Lakers have the best talent on paper 1 through 6 but certainly not 6 through 9 or 10

With that said, I dont know if having deepest team matters as much though. Its down the list of importance. 1 through 6 is much more important obviously, and will determine who wins it

You're right, I should have said one of the deepest teams.

Odom/Barnes/Brown/Blake off the bench is as good as your'e gonna get

lol if Barnes is the second guy off the bench then yall dont have one of the deepest teams imo. Blake is a decent backup point but he's behind the backup PGs of Denver, San Antonio, Dallas, Portland, and New Orleans

is nice to have a deep bench, but it wont be a huge factor since teams obviously shorten their rotation to 7 or 8 in the playoffs anyway

No Ray, Rondo, KG and probably Pierce tonight as well according to DC980.

Guess Boston is just gonna settle for that 3 seed then and let Miami get the 2.
