Tyson Chandler finally stays out of foul trouble and dominates the Blazers

if he plays like that, there is really not much Portland can do

Haywood brought quite a defensive presence as well

Perhaps, but I would like to see the stats. Just from a lot of games I watched he would drain deep range shots in the clutch.

That's not to defend his shot selection last night, as I said I don't love that at all. Obviously you would rather have him look to KD a bit more and/or to tone it down a bit with the Kobe/hero shots.

My point is he had a brain fart in a series up 3-0. I'm gonna criticize him to a point, but in the end he's gonna be OK in my eyes. He doesn't care about how big a situation it is, he wants the ball. I want him on my team and I want him to play with the same confidence. Even though KD seems to be clutch for the most part himself, I don't mind Russy's onions at all. Going forward I think we're gonna see a great competitive/clutch duo in KD/Russy
According to 82games.com, Westbrooks' eFG is 45% and his crunch time eFG is 43%. I also noticed that according to 82games.com, the Thunder are actually better when he's off the court? It says per 48 minutes, they score 111 while he's on the court and give up 109, and score 114 and give up 104 when he's off the court. That seems weird to me.

Interesting lol. I'm thinking there's gotta be something wrong with that formula haha.

Its crazy to think that this possible Memphis / Oklahoma City 2nd round matchup could have been Seattle Vs. Vancouver right now...

Dang, I'm starting to actually feel bad for JR

J.R. was beyond dejected when Karl took him out at the 01:56 mark in the fourth. He sulked on the bench. He didn’t get up to participate in the huddles. He couldn’t even be bothered to stand up and watch the rest of the game (neither did Wilson Chandler, by the way) as the rest of his teammates eagerly watched the action. And he pouted until the very end.

I hate when coaches seem to have something against certain players. Clearly you can make a case that Smith has it coming, but I hold coaches to a higher standard. Resulting to petty disciplining tactics just make some coaches look like d-bags.

Agree. I don't think we make nearly enough of a fuss when a coach puts his ego before a team. Let a player do it and forums explode though.

JR did deserve to be out there in the waning moments in games 3 and 4. At least more than Felton. JR's gone this offseason.

I said it earlier I would welcome him back. Although with Williams it would be another situation like with Marcus Thornton which is just like his situation in Denver already.

There is no reason for Durant not to touch the ball during those attempts.

You could see last night that Westbrook wasn't even thinking about giving up the ball. He was just letting it fly from anywhere. Again if he was attacking the basket and drawing fouls then I wouldn't have that big of a problem but when he is jacking up threes then somebody needs to let him know that is not his game.

Haven't really posted here during the playoffs but"

                              1. Did JR forget to change his Tampon or something because he's acting like a little girl right now.

                              2. SMMFH @ San Antonio and SMMFGDH @ LA right now.

                              3. Westbrook/Durant's little moment isn't a big deal and shouldn't be because like Charles and Kenny said last night, that goes on EVERYWHERE and happens all the time, especially during the playoffs where you have your 2 best players occassionally going at it but then squashing it by the end of the night.

                              4. Dallas needs to finish off Portland so they can at least have a few days up on LA when they play them next.

Westbrook is still a baller imo but his shot selection in that 4th quarter was borderline terrible. Why did he put up 30 freaking shots for the game? Isn't he the point guard? I can see if those shots came from him driving or midrange(his strong suit) but not with him doing pull up 3's like he's Big Shot Billups. With Mo Cheeks and Brooks being former NBA pass 1st PGs I can't see them being happy with that performance late. I hope Scotty Brooks' postgame conference about how he was ok with how the game played out late was just him protecting RW. My friend and I couldn't believe what we were watching. Westbrook is still amazing imo....
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.
