I think Perkins not being here is being kinda overblown to an extent.

He averaged more points, rebounds, and assists than wade. He was also higher in the MVP voting.

Also it's a lot tougher getting over "the hump" when your second best player in Cleveland was Mo Williams.

The date for the 3 of the 4 playoff series were set before game 6 of the Spurs Grizzlies. So they had Sunday, Tuesday, Saturday for the Heat Celtics so if the Spurs Grizzlies went 7, Game 1 of the Thunder vs Grizzlies/ Spurs would have been Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. So I think the NBA wanted all series to be at the same point by Saturday and I assume they had to give Miami enough notice that they would playing on Sunday for ticketing purposes, so they couldn't change it once the Spurs and Grizzlies didn't go 7.

Honestly, I think LeBron would have won a title in Cleveland eventually had he stayed. They were a damn good team with him in the equation.

I originally thought the Bulls were better than the Heat, and I still think they are, but I think the Heat will make it further in the playoffs than the Bulls. Just my .02.

Perkins wouldn't be helping us very much right now...we need inside scoring and the big 3 to wake up.

            Miami's big 3 = 80 pts tonight
            Boston's = 20

I've thought all season The Bulls would win the east...but Rose's injury has changed things dramatically.
I would say Dallas as well, I was thinking about this earlier....

It would definitely be interesting....especially if Haslem plays. He gave Dirk fits at times in 06. Dirk has grown alot since then though..itd be a fun series

I'm a bulls fan but this is not our year we depend on Rose too much. Boozer hasn't stepped up in the playoffs. Without rose at 100% there is no way were beating the hawks. This off-season we got to get Rose some help who can take pressure off of him.

Even if he gets back, Haslem won't be fit enough to contribute / won't be fit enough to impact on the current rotation IMO.

Dallas has some really nice wing defenders + Chandler is massive on the boards. They match up well. They are also a very good half court team, something Miami doesn't like to play. Kidd could control the pace and Dirk is a great half court baller.

Side note: If it was Miami v Dallas, who would have home court?

Miami would have home court. 58-24 vs. 57-25.

The heat would have home court. But I agree. I have both games on my PS3. Dallas give them alot of problems in both games. Dallas won both games. But lets not get too ahead of ourself guys lol.

Personally haven't got all the stress this year put on the heat for being able to hit 3s to tie games and come from behind and win. Hitting a 2 or 3 when trailing under 10 seconds is one of the lowest percentage plays league wide. Hell I believe even Durant was 1-10 or something absurd this year in the same situation. Closing to me isn't that last 10 seconds when you need a helter-skelter shot, it's that last 5 when your deadlocked at 80, and the heat have had plenty success in those situations this year.

I've had the Heat coming out of the east from some time. People thought I was crazy, but there's way too much talent on that squad for them to to succeed. I've also had the Bulls faltering and falling short. I haven't jumped on their bandwagon yet.

As for the toughest match-up for Heat in the West? I'd say Memphis, LA, and OKC in that order. Dallas is a non factor as far as I'm concerned. Memphis has the perimeter defense, depth, and size inside to makes things tough for the Heat. The Lakers are the Lakers. OKC would play them tough, but they aren't quite there yet.

The Heat may well be good enough to simply steam roll their way to the title this season, so it won't even matter.

stop kidding .. what injury? how about him shooting 38% ?

so..you are basically saying Bulls won't win the east because rose has a tweaked ankle..yeah right
