No, I agree, I was just speculating on "if" Orlando were to trade D12.

Re: Western Conference Playoffs - Second Round Discussion Thread

I doubt Gasol will be coming back...him and Kobe used to be great friends, but their body language all play offs said something was wrong and now it's been confirmed. Gasol + parts for Dwight, you can see it now. (Orlando has no bargaining power, so don't think it's not realistic. Gasol + Odom or Bynum would be the best the Magic can do by a long way)

              http://www.latimes.com/sports/columnist ... umn?page=2
Perhaps more than anything, the notion that Pau Gasol can be this team's next great leader was swept away. His sudden and odd postseason disappearance was the most obvious reason for the <NOBR style="COLOR: rgb(0,128,150)" id=itxthook0w0nobr class="itxtrst itxtrstnobr itxthooknobr">Lakers'</NOBR> troubles, his fall completed Sunday when he scored 10 points while being pushed around by everyone but his coach, who thankfully refrained from hitting him for a second consecutive game.

"I have to learn from this," Gasol said. ''I have to learn that when something happens off the court, you have to keep it off the court."

He was referring to the report that he stopped talking to Bryant during the postseason because Bryant's wife, Vanessa, had contributed to the breakup of Gasol and his longtime girlfriend. Lakers fans will remember that Karl Malone once publicly accused Vanessa of interfering with his personal life in a similar fashion.

Whatever was happening, Bryant and Gasol haven't connected on the court in a month, and the Lakers have been lost without the strength of their fusion.

I posted that a bit ago.....if OKC comes to me and says "I'll give you Westbrook, Perkins, and a pick" .....I'd take it.

Maybe OKC gets pissed at Westbrook for what he's doing this playoffs? Who knows. Just a hypothetical.

Back then, there was definitely nothing sensible. I agree with you man.

This time though...if Dwight says he wants out, Orlando has basically got to move him. They can't afford to lose out totally like the Cavs. I also doubt they want to go through a disrupted season like the Nuggest with Melo.

If LA offers Bynum and Gasol...damm, I doubt they'd do better than that.

Man I don't blame people for bashing the Lakers. They deserved to be bashed.

I'm more mad about the poor sportsmanship at the end. You don't do that bush league **** period. Thats straight up trash. If I was a leader on the Lakers ie... Kobe, Phil, or Fish, during the timeouts I would have said "no cheap shots guys".

There is nothing wrong with losing to a better team, but lose with honor and dignity.

Lakers need to go back to being an offensive team. They have nobody on their bench thats instant O. Lamar is a stats guys. If your gunna play mediocre at best on defensive at least have guys that can score the rock.
Kenny: Ok Vic, I'm ready for some girl on girl action.
Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
                      Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....
                      Kenny: Everyone wins?!?!

                      Captain Tenneal: Get it on!

That **** is really bothering me this morning. I'm re watching this game. I can understand the chip shot by odom. But the andrew bynum should miss at least 5 games next year. That is totally uncalled for. If I was a teammate. I probably would have been kicked out of that game for kick bynum's ***. He also should get fined. That was jj bera career right there. There is no place in the game for plays like that in basketball. I hope the league make his worth his while.

But in regards to the lakers my friend watched all for games in a hour to break down the lakers defense. I know teams have problems defending the pick and roll. But the lakers got taught how not to cover the pick and roll.

The league should send a message. Anything less than 10 games is getting off easy.

Remember when lebron walked off the court and didn't saw good game in 2009 playoffs vs orlando. I find what bynum did to be way worst.

I could not believe the lakers were doing that in game 4. What happen to the rest of the series?

Back to those pick and rolls. My friends and I debated whether the lakers should have been going underneath the picks instead of trying go over them. One of the biggest problems was that the laker lack of talking to each on defense. No one was on the page.

I can't even begin to break down that series man. The Lakers defense never showed up in the series. Even in the two games in which the Lakers blew leads late, it was the offense that was clicking in those games. Never the defense. I'm still shocked.
