    Kobe T-SHIRT

funny that they're playing hangman, I wonder what's on the front

oh, btw, Eagle police department, according to fox news, purchased 80 of them

for the ones who think slower, a hangman is on the front

I hope that's enough reasoning to get this trial moved out of Eagle

I asbolutely cannot understand all this "he's played with pressure before" or "he can block it out once he's on the court" etc.

      B S

I used to work in a legal area...and people facing prison LIVE AND BREATH it. It's absolutely all comsuming. It wrecks marriages. It creates INCREDIBLE tesnion. It takes over life.

How can it not? We are not talking about a big basketball game. We are talking about the guy losing his life. Missing seeing his kid grow up. Being a prisoner.

Take the season off, get the trial done ASAP...and get it the hell over one way or the other.

Basketball is nothing compared to this.

Also, can you imagine his emotions...how does he act on the court under a MICROSCOPE of media????

Scenario = he drives the hoop, gets a flagrant commited...reacts by yelling at the defender, yells etc...

Happens all the time in b-ball.

In Kobes world...his (natural) agressive reaction on a court will suddenly be transferred across to the garbage media / the crap sensationalist news like FOX and analysed as evidence he can lose his temper, is this the temper that led him to rape / another side to Kobe etc etc.

The media attention will be insane.

Take the season off, lay low, tell the judge you want the trial ASAP to 'clear your name' and finish this thing one way or the other.

If your found not giulty, get on with life and you've still got ten years of the NBA.

If you are guilty, do the time.

Just forget basketball. This is another world all together.

Re: Once again behold the All Things KOBE thread...

I keep thinking about if Kobe plays this year, what happens when the Lakers go on the road and have to play the Denver Nuggets. Forget about it. The crowd reactions, egging him on, etc., he couldn't take it.

And other cities too. Regardless if he did it or not, I think he'd just crack emotionally.

If he's playing a road game and goes to the free throw line, I can just imagine the chants. And since Kobe is so easy to cry in public, there's no way he could get through it.

Even if (when) he gets acquitted, it'll be tough for him still.

He's not physically ready to play now IMO and I don't think he should play until next season. Too much to deal with.

You do know that a speedy trial is within 6 months and most probably near the end of 6 months, so it really doesn't make a difference if he waves his right to a speedy trial or not, he still won't be in court till after or near the end of the NBA season.....so my question is, why sit at home, watch the news, and think about the trial all day long when you can live your life, do your job, enjoy basketball, condition yourself, and possibly win a NBA championship.....I completely disagree with him taking the year off and I disagree with the distraction theme because while players can be distracted(annoyed in realterms) off court, they won't be on court besides maybe Kobe himself who will have to deal with prick fans.

who knows, he might recieve a standing ovation somewhere at sometime and that alone could boost his morale which is far better than the home thinking machine he'd be in if he didn't play.

Yeah but deep down you know he doesn't want to pass on the opportunity to play with Payton and Malone which which could possibly be a 1 year thing since Payton and Malone will be a year closer to 40 (malone is already 40, right?). I do believe he should sit this one out. I think the Lakers would be okay.
