Shaq doesn't have to be the best player on the team. He's still the most DOMINANT player on the court when healthy. When he's healthy, he just wears out other players by time the 4th quarter comes around.

he sure wore out tim duncan last year

The old shaq was unstoppable, but now, its just sad how un-committed he is. throughout last years playoffs he was always hurting the team picking up stupid offensive fouls lowering his shoulders into people ...shaq this isnt football, go around and over, not through the defender.

Shaq is no longer not only the best player, he is no longer the most dominant. See Tim Duncan

I'd take KG and Duncan over shaq any day, and thats sad for a player blessed with all his talents and size. under-achiever

If you substitute "when healthy" to "in shape" my arguement could still hold true though.

If Shaq is so expendable, trade him to the Knicks for Dikembe Mutumbo and we'll see this Kobe-led team take the championship.

Shaq being expendable is the funniest thing I've heard about the NBA in a long time. I'm not sure why you're so hard on Kobe's jock.

Watching all the Lakers' games, game tapes, etc and you think they can do it without Shaq. Now that's comedy!
You should trade in those game tapes you have and buy a clue.

Stupid people are so funny this is the way they count their money............THIS YEARRRRRRR......get it, Malone, Payton......sad that people don't realize that Kobe is the 2nd best player in the NBA, next to Duncan....why, cause they don't even watch the Lakers handing an azz whooping to their team anymore, they only remember when the Daddy was doing it....watch some more, you'll see....go ask the Spurs and Wolves who was their #1 threat last year in the playoffs.....Duncan had fun with Shaq........the dominance that is Shaq is long gone.
