        Chauncey makes 14 million for 1 year? No wonder NBA franchises are broke. I know they didn't get rich by making these kinds of business decisions.

            No idea David West maybe, but I doubt he opts out of his contract with the serious injury he suffered

              In my opinion it's gotta be Greg Oden just because the team that signs him could be striking gold if he can stay healthy and plays anywhere near how he was expected to when he was drafted.

                I think Nene is the best player on that list... not sure if that is the same as the biggest name but he'll definitely get a huge payday.

                  Chandler and Marc Gasol also have the potential to get big contracts.

                    Re: NBA Off-season Movement & FA List (PG 1 Updates)

                    Del Demps has to knock this offseason(if there is one) out the park. Pro basketball in city of New Orleans is in that man hands.

                    We have to ship Okafor. Would like to see us make a deal for D.Howard not going to happen but that's wish number one. A more realistic trade would be something like Okafor and Ariza for Iggy(if the GS deal falls through). Just get rid of Oka's contract only untouchable would be Paul.

                    As far as the FA list 4 names jump out at me.

                    If we can ship Emaka out of town (Get on that Dell) we will need another center. I love DeAndre Jordan's ability. Kid can be a slightly taller D.Howard if he wants to be and has the proper coaching, the ability is there. Either that or gamble on Greg Oden. I think I rather Jordan he's a little bit younger, won't command as much money, is more talented(Oden has more skill), and obviously he's more durable.

                    Next we need a SG. I'm thinking JR Smith or Nick Young. I'm torn between the two. Smith's a more explosive scorer, but I think he will clash with coach Williams so I lean more towards Young.

                    Either way this clearly isn't last year pool(for better or worse).

                      As far as the Cavs off-season goes theres not a whole lot do;

                      A) Trade Antawn Jamison (I've heard that Golden State is interested in him?) for whatever we can get for him. He can't really do anything but shoot anymore and he plays no defense.

                      B) Get another big man because we need someone else besides Varejao to help protect that basket and rebound, and a bag of basketballs could play better than Ryan Hollins.

                      C) Try and trade Ramon Sessions. With us drafting Kyrie Irving (which I'm going to assume we'll do) and with Baron Davis already here Ramon becomes dead weight, really. He made some of the most bone headed plays at point guard last year that I've ever seen (passing up 2 open guys to take a contest 3 v 1 layup).

                      D) Either get JJ Hicksons *** motivated or get rid of him. He's shown flashes when he wants to play, but I don't think he gives a **** and that's the kind of player we don't need.

                            Back off LOL. If we can't land the miracle move of Dwight, I want Afflalo or J-Rich or Crawford or something.

                              If he isn't plotting/scheming a way to get rid of Okafor he sucks a GM. Oka is a solid center but we can get 10 and 10 from almost any big body. Gray completely out shined Emaka in the post season I would feel more comfortable with him @ the 5 spot.

                              When I see a DeAndre Jordan who I think can be a star(at the least a Tyson Chandler type)in free agency whom you can probably acquire fairly cheap you have to make that happen IMO. I believe in Chris heart he wants to stay here we have to put a team around him. We can't do that especially with a stiffer cap almost certain to come next giving Emaka 12+mil a season for 10ppg 10rpg(and most of that 10ppg is easy wide open dunks/layups that were assisted).
