I guess so. Just don't see them winning any more consistently with Dwight than with those three. /shrug. Speculation anyhow.

OKC needs to trade their offense for something a bit less... basic

      That's a good off-season move for them.

People are afraid to say this, and people are afraid to admit this but Thunder need to trade Russel Westbrook.
Russel is not a point guard. He is a slightly undersized shooting guard. Its so obvious he wants to run his own team. He reminds me so much of Stephon Marbury when he was teamed up with Kevin Garnett (Kevin Durant) in Minesota. Marbury wanted to run his own team, and thus Marbury destroyed his entire promising future.

Thunder have a decent backup in Eric Maynor, they can even give Nate Robinson some burn in the rotation.
I say the Thunder should try to deal away Westbrook for Howard in a deal like this

        Thunder Gets:
        Dwight Howard
        Daniel Orton

        Orlando Gets:
        Russel Westbrook
        Kendrick Perkins
        Nick Collison
        Cole Aldrich
        BJ Mullens
        Some Draft Picks

the part of the deal is that Perkins & Nick Collison have lengthy contract.

i used http://hoopshype.com/salaries/oklahoma_city.htm as reference for the cap

I don't think the Magic are gonna trade Howard personally. Otis Smith seems like the kinda guy who will wait it out and try to make a case to Howard for him to stay. What kind of case he's going to be able to make, I don't know, but I don't think he's even gonna think about trading Dwight.

It depends on the timing bro...if the Magic are playing poorly by mid season and it's clear Dwight is leaving then they have to get "something".

An all star PG + a young big..............beats the hell out of getting nothing if Dwight walks a few months later.

Can we keep "speculation" talk out of this thread.

Knicks looking to trade Toney Douglas to Minnesota for Johnny Flynn

The Knicks have had preliminary discussions with the Minnesota Timberwolves about a trade for point guard Jonny Flynn.

No formal deal is in place, but the Knicks are debating whether Flynn, the sixth overall pick of the 2009 draft would be a viable option to back up Chauncey Billups for at least one season. Flynn has become expendable now that the Wolves have signed Spanish guard Ricky Rubio, who was taken one pick ahead of Flynn.

Toney Douglas would likely be the player traded for Flynn. However, Douglas is coming off major shoulder surgery, which in theory would make him tough to deal. But Flynn is a similar medical risk. The 6-foot guard out of Syracuse had hip surgery last July and was limited to 53 games in his second year, not including a stint in the D-League.

                    That headline should read:

Knicks looking to screw up their roster again, is Isaiah in charge?

Toney Douglass is already a better player than Johnny Flynn. Not sure why the Knicks would want him.

Why, because we don't have a back-up PG. TD is not a PG, he's a SG. (undersized @ that) This team has had players playing out of position basically all last season.

This is a good trade IMO. Flynn can learn & back-up Chauncey.

Mark me down for supporters of this trade. I like Flynn's potential in the right system. I know he's struggled with the Wolves, but
                          1. Who hasn't?
and 2. The way that he played in college, in my opinion, translates well to the NBA. The heart/desire that he played with at Syracuse, his toughness, and his desire to be the guy with the ball in his hands to make plays at the end of games are all things that I don't think a guy loses when he goes to the NBA, whereas a guy might be quick in college, but just average in the NBA, if you get what I mean. So personally, I still think Flynn has a lot of potential in the NBA, despite his rough start to his career.

No, but he can create his shot a lot better than Bogans. In those 4th quarters of that series we could've at least give him the ball and let him try to create his own shot. None of the other bulls can do that.

Bogans is a good asset though because he was defending wade great.
