Douglas is brutal far too often for my taste. He's a streaky shooter and when he's on from deep it's a great bonus but when he's not on he's damn near useless on the court.

As Joe said, he's a 6'2 SG. His decision-making his horrible as is his court vision. He's probably the worst passing "point guard" in the league, I mean the guy just doesn't understand how to play the point.

I haven't seen a ton of Flynn in the NBA since he's stuck up in Minny but I loved his game at Cuse. I don't know the details of his health situation but if the Knicks determine that he's not a health risk I would swap him straight up for TD in a heartbeat. Obviously Flynn will fit in much better in our pick-n-roll heavy offense than Minny's Triangle.

That being said, Minny is already in a PG crunch and Flynn is expendable, not sure they'd want TD back even though he's not a real PG. Maybe he'll fit in better with Minny's roster and offense.

Either way, I'd be surprised if anything developed in this rumor anyway. Plus, the rumor came from Frank Isola. It probably shouldn't be allowed to be discussed on the Interwebz.

      I'd just say this:

If you're expect point guard skills from Johnny Flynn, you're going to be sorely disappointed. Sure, he's still young, but he is a driving point guard.

The Knicks would be better off targeting Ramon Sessions...

Yeah, Sessions is much more of a PG that can get it done from the perimeter lol

I honestly like Sessions, but he has no game besides driving and kicking. Flynn can at least knock down wide open shots lol

He isn't the best playmaker in the world but...

          A) He looks like Magic compared to TD
          B) He doesn't need to be with Melo/Amare and the Knicks' offense.
          C) He is actually a PG, unlike TD

I don't think he's ever played in a system that really plays to his skills. Triangle in Minny is blah for him. Devendorf and Paul Harris were absolute morons to play alongside with at Cuse. I think his ceiling is much higher than TD's if he stays healthy and I think he's a better fit for us than TD.

ehh, I do sort of agree, however, I think the Knicks would be better off targeting a different backup. I just don't see Flynn as a fit.

I said months ago that I wanted Vince as the starting SG for the Knicks if we could sign him on the cheap and still be able to sign Dalembert.

He can knock down the open shot, hit 3s and would be much more reliable than Landry Fields or some rookie.

Walsh needs to get on his job and Stat & Melo need to start making phone calls.

Vince will be bought out, now let the sweepstakes begin, lol. No but seriously, he can still help a team like LA, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, etc. etc. etc. Where does he end up?!

The Phoenix Suns are working on a buyout with Vince Carter, per the Arizona Republic's Paul Coro.

Carter averaged 14.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game this past season.

Carter signed a four-year, $61.8 million deal in 2007. He's entering the final year of the contract, which will pay him $18.9 million next season.

                    You talking about Terry?

Dallas has a hole to fill at the starting 2 though. Unless Butler comes back.

Either way I'm sure Vince will have one last crack at it with a contender.

Vince Carter to Chicago would be all sorts of conundrumness.

The Bulls clearly need a better SG if they want to win a title, but Vince Carter is the ultimate loser. Are they willing to take their chances with Vince?

Hmmmm...I don't think I would do that if I were the Bulls.

I guess. I still think you need to sign someone with size. Whether it'd be Butler/Stevenson.. you don't want your starting 2 to be JJ or Roddy and then the backup to be JET. That's testing the limits, lol.

Brewer is interesting, it's a trip how he was basically cast off by two different teams in one season. I guess you could roll with him as well, I know he can play a little bit.

                          This.

I'd rather take a risk on the bonehead J.R. Smith than Vince one foot from the grave.

I don't want Vince Carter or J.R. Smith here.

Plus the Bulls already had J.R. Smith (for a day) and traded him for Howard Eisley. That's the only J.R. Smith link I want the Bulls to have.

Yes he can score in bunches but there must be other alternatives!

And Vince Carter, hard to want a guy that doesn't care about winning/losing. I still remember that Boston/Orlando Playoff game where Orlando was getting blown out and he just starts dribbling the ball soccer style during a TO.

                              LOL I agree.

Still holding out hope for a deal with the Kings for Thornton. I don't know why, but I love his game and feel he would be perfect for Chicago.

Thornton is nice, real nice. Like his game alot too. Him and K-Mart would be great fits at the 2, imo.
