I dont think Heat will get him. I'm sure Samuel Dalembert would prefer to go to NY for cheap. But then again Knicks are trying to bring Wilson back to the team off a MLE

But if the Knicks draft Kenneth Faried over a point guard like Josh Selby, then i dont think the knicks will pursue Dalembert

It would also help them a lot in trying to beat Miami, and their starting lineup would be better than what it was before.

        Rose/FA or QRich/deng/Booz/Howard

It would pain me to give all those players up, but it is easier to find role players than it is to find stars and unless they are able to find a elite SG for a cheap price than I don't think they will be able to beat Miami in the future who will keep adding role-players and quality pieces.
I'm surprised you haven't gotten the business from some Bulls fans(and Pack) like I did in the Eastern Conference Finals thread. I wholeheartedly agree with you and would make that trade as well. However, it's coming. They'll read this post and think your nuts. But I see your vision of being contenders for a long time.

That trade I actually wouldn't object to. Dwight is a decidedly better player than Carmelo so gutting your team's depth to get him isn't smart at all. Killing it to get a Dwight? I can live with. I will say that is a bit much to give up and it worries me just a tad cause I'm not sure how Boozer and Dwight fit together and the Bulls still have no real shooters to stretch the floor for a Dwight kick out. However I'd rather have Dwight and Rose to rebuild a team with than trying to do it with Rose and Melo.

Heck, I didn't want to give up that many players for Melo. I was just suggesting trading Noah for Melo straight up and you guys seemed to have a problem with that.

There was no deal on the table that was going to give Noah for Melo straight up. Noah didn't have the salary at any point this season that would have allowed that trade to happen. All the deals called for some combination of Noah, Deng, Gibson and Asik. Deng had to be included in the deal for the salaries to match. I simply don't trust Carmelo's leadership and ability to co-exist with Derrick and Thibs enough to give up THAT much of our young talent. Dwight is an entirely different story though.

And for the trade I proposed earlier. Bogans, Brewer, and Korver can be replaced, they're nice assets but there are other defenders and shooters in the league that could be acquired at a reasonable price. Noah and Taj are more rare, but there are still hard working players like nick collison, amir johnson, etc. The thing is Dwight Howard can't be replaced, there is NOBODY in the league near him at the center position. And if the Bulls can get him while keeping 3 of their top 4 players (rose, booz, deng) that is a steal. And it's not like a melo for Noah swap where we lose our center, we get a much better center since howard is a better defender, rebound, and offensive player than Noah. It's more like giving up a lot of our bench depth while getting the most dominant big man in the game.

Brewer, Korver, and Gibson can be replaced. Howard can't.

Detroit would be stupid to make that move. If you get rid of Rip's contract you don't want to get back one even worse. We know how desperate they are to get rid of Rip too.

Heard on the radio Dallas is close to resigning JJ. They are just working out details. They are also close with someone else, but I didn't catch who.

                          Interesting.

I wonder how much they're paying him. They had better get Chandler too.

If your going to resign guys better do it now. Although the salary cap will come down and be more solid I don't see owners like Cuban or Buss backing a hard cap.

He is making 1.8 right now. I would think he would start off in the lower 2 million range.

I don't think it will be under $3m. I'd say it will be around $4-5m per.
