I think that's funny as hell, but i can see how it might of shocked him or hurt his feelings a little when the President of the United States says you can't shoot lmao as true as it may be.

This is why I argued against how important they (Rondo specifically) were making Perkins trade out to be. Defense loss? Sure. Slight blow to chemistry? Probably. Enough to derail a championship quality team? Only if your starting point guard is about as sensitive as a girl on Glee. Grow a pair, Rajon... and work on your shot. Maybe it hurts so much because it's true.
Na, that trade was like taking the heart/soul of the defense. KG was their best defender but Perk was their anchor.

It decimated the chemistry and was a huge blow to their morale, hell even Doc himself seemed as shook up as any of the players. Sure they were winning games without Perk, but they were definitely counting on having him back for the stretch run.

Not saying they were a lock to make the title game but the trade was definitely not a good move by any stretch. Should have just rode it out and then figure it out when you have to cross that bridge.

Whatever. Grown men that are within the top 2% of the world at what they do. I'll give Doc the benefit of the doubt and believe he did his job effectively despite whatever feelings he may have had. Rondo needs to grow a pair or this is just the beginning of his issues with his career choice. Along with Doc, I'll go ahead and assume the rest of the team was above this level of sensitivity over a trade also.

They could've traded KG for all I care, and it'd still be embarrassing if they tried to blame the move on lack of chemistry bc of personal feelings about the guy. Please. You give this guy too much credit. I'm not even sure why at this point. Since the spotlight of the finals has been off of him, he's pretty much shown what many have said. He's a great role player but nothing all that special. His value was greater on the Celtics bc they clearly had a group that was/is like a family, but even if he was Rondo's twin brother, any lack of performance bc he was traded is unacceptable. And any lack of performance bc the President put you on blast about your horrible jumper is unacceptable too. This isn't middle school.

Before I can find the stones to go calling Rondo any 5 letter words, ill have to see if I can make it through a regular work day with a dislocate elbow...much less a basketball game....

pysch may be iffy, but I cant say anything about his toughness...

24th you know what I meant. On the court he's tough as nails.

Mentally and/or emotionally he's frail as ****. Thought that was crystal clear.

You underestimate what losing a certain type play can do to the identity of a team.

Rondo needs to grow a pair, that goes without question. The point is the trade was purely unnecessary.

Nobody is saying Perk is or isn't a role player. That's nowhere near the point. I never spoke on Perkins as a player, so stop saying I give Perkins too much credit, that is completely false.

Pretty sure I didn't question his toughness either. I'm sure I can get through the day with a dislocated elbow, but playing on one is pretty impressive... and equally irrelevant to this conversation unless I'm missing something (or said something that was misinterpreted). Dude can't shoot. Dude let someone commenting on his bad shooting effect his job performance. He did the same thing when his boy was traded. This is all speculation, but if indeed true... he needs to grow the hell up.

I've been involved in organized basketball for the last 24 years. I've got a pretty good idea what losing a player of pretty much any type for pretty much any reason can do to the identity of a team. And you give Perkins too much credit if you think trading him had THAT big of an effect. BTW, somebody (many people) was saying he was more than a role player. Whether or not that was you doesn't matter. I simply stated what he is, along with the idea that you're giving him too much credit. They may or may not be related, but you giving him too much credit is about how correlated you want to make him being traded to the play of the team.

On the same note, whether or not you feel it was an unnecessary trade also isn't related to it's effect on the team. The biggest effect is associated with the injury issues of the big men they still had when they dealt him. That can be brought into discussion of whether or not the timing or the trade itself was smart, but that's not what's being discussed here.

                    Zachary in the news again

Zach Randolph reportedly met the man who has filed a battery charge concerning an alleged incident at his mansion during a cruise on the Williamette River.

Randolph met a Southeast Portland man selling marijuana and invited him to his mansion on Southwest Turner Road, in the Stafford area south of West Linn, for an after-cruise party. The Portland man, James Ruben Beasley, told police he was encouraged to sell marijuana to anyone interested among the 20 or so people at the party.

Neighbors say Randolph now stays at the West Linn-area home infrequently.

Interesting, consider China made it so clear that they won't take NBA players planning on going back as soon as the lockout is over. Any idea how long his contract is?

Puzzling decision, but I guess he thinks there really won't be a season

Wilson Chandler has signed a contract with the Zhejiang Guangsha of the Chinese Basketball Association.

Chandler will not be able to participate in the 11-12 NBA season because the CBA does not allow players to sign with an out clause.

"Maybe I'll lose out," Chandler said. "But I think it can be a great experience. I haven't been in any [labor negotiation] meetings. I can't call it. I'm just taking a risk, at the end of the day."

Chandler is a restricted free agent.

"I like [Denver], I like the team," Chandler said. "Great young team. Coach [George] Karl is a great coach. I like the management. Hopefully I'm there."

The deal is believed to be worth less than the $3.1 million qualifying offer made by the Nuggets.

I'm shocked by WC decision. Until I read what Ex posted I thought he had some inside info that made him think the season would either be canceled or won't get solved anytime soon.

On a side note does anybody know how long the season last overseas?

I read an article that says Chandler would be able to sign with an NBA team in April, so I assume that would be after China's season is over.
