Haha, I've been apart of exactly one "floor rush" moment of my life, though indirectly. One of my teammates at an open run in college lined up a defender at half court and proceeded to destroy him with a one-hand hammer. Then all hell broke loose. Like, it suddenly became a disco tech in there. People dancing aimlessly all over the place. There was another game on the court beside us. That game came to a halt so they could share in the moment. I, meanwhile, had no idea what I was supposed to be doing. A part of me felt like I should be spasming about, but I just walked down floor and smiled a little. Opportunity missed.

Durant was a man possessed yesterday, not even the breeze could stop his shot yesterday.... I'll usually visit the dyckman and rucker games during the summer, glad I made it out to the rucker last night...Comment

Re: Kevin Durant Unleashed the Fury at Rucker Park Last Night

I dont care if hes playing 5th graders, I love seeing world class talent ball....combined with the atmosphere, it was pretty entertaining. Basketball is supposed to be fun.Comment

Re: Kevin Durant Unleashed the Fury at Rucker Park Last Night
You don't care if he was playing 5th graders?Riiiiight
Bball is supposed to be fun of course, but the crowd was full of peasants.
Big deal, leading scorer of the past two years in the NBA scored a bunch of points in a game full of 6'6 and shorter streetballers. Cool story.
I'm not trying to say don't enjoy it, I'm just saying it was to be expected and that the crowd was OD.Comment

Re: Kevin Durant Unleashed the Fury at Rucker Park Last Night
I understand what you're getting at. But I'd venture to say that if you were there, you'd be just as excited as everyone else there.
People at the gym I go to get excited when I pop a bunch of threes in a row. Imagine if it was an NBA superstar doing the same right in front of them.Comment

So when something extraordinary happens just because the person is gifted, that means we should act like we didn't see it?
Dude already had 50+ points and the crowd barely made a sound when he hit that first 3 in the clip. They didn't start going crazy till he hit the 3rd in a row.
4 threes in 4 possessions at the end of a game watching superstars go to work in a place where superstars rarely visit, is something to get excited about."I'm addicted to Video Games, and i chase it with a little OS." -Winston ChurchillComment

Props to the leading scorer in the NBA for two straight years going HAM against a bunch of undersized street ballers. I'm impressed, but to a point.Comment

BTW, I know a lot of NBA players that have gotten schooled in situations like that. They're generally lesser than the Durants of the world, but we know one Lebron had people destroying a certain tape.Comment

Good to see you back bumi
Peasants? How's the weather up there on your pedestal. Hopefully you're high enough above this crazy heat.

Crowd was OD in my eyes, no pedestal needed to make that observation.
Comparing that game to the confiscation fiasco? No correlation what so ever.Comment

Re: Kevin Durant Unleashed the Fury at Rucker Park Last Night
It's a streetball game IN THE HOOD, people are gonna get hype. What did you expect?
Unless you thought the crowds at Streetball games were like the crowds you see at Staples where they're quiet and busy tweeting/texting away not paying attention to the game LOL.#RespectTheCultureComment

Exactly... I'd honestly like to see the one guy sitting on his hands calling everyone else peasants while they go nuts.Comment

Re: Kevin Durant Unleashed the Fury at Rucker Park Last Night
This thread is disappointing. Calling any demographic peasants is just not right in my opinion and honestly it's offensive.
If you haven't scored 50 pts before yourself it doesn't matter who your playing or what your abilities are that takes some amount of ski
I will close my soapbox diatribe with this...it's like trench said if you ain't never been to the ghetto don't ever go to the ghetto because you wouldn't understand the ghetto. So... LOL.
Kids and people who may never make it to an NBA game get to see their hero's up close and personal where they live and where they play. That is exciting. It really shouldn't be that difficult to understand.Catch me on that #SimNation #SimHangOut Friday's @ 10:00 pm est https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...N7yxMiElOpMl_BComment
