Make it where? The playoffs If the Clippers make it very close to .500 I'll be extatic. Yeah the team is deffinitely improved from nothing else but dumping Kandi and Miller. Kandi was a cancer who made it known he didn't want to be there all last year, which worked out since he bairly played, but still not a good guy to have hanging around. Miller loved it week #1, then after that got down on the place real quick. Both of these guys didn't want to be there and that was obvious even on the court they did more to help the team lose with their on the court selfishness or just lack of fitting in (in Miller's case) than they ever did to help them win.

I guess you can't blame those guys for not wanting to be there, since even Maggette and Brand didn't wanna be there as they signed contracts to get out too. I think they'll be fine now that they're here and getting paid, but they're better charachter guys that the other two.

Loss of Odom, oh well. I just wish the Clips could have gotten something in a sign and trade for him. But that was too much money to pay someone for their "potential" when they're always hurt and have had "substance" issues in the past.

All that said the team should be better this year, but the key is finding a GO TO GUY. Last year they led going into the fourth a countless number of times only to lose the game at the end. The biggest problem, they had no one to get the ball to at the end of the game to close things out. Maggette and Q have the willingness to do it, and Maggs might even be good enough, but what this team needs is for Brand to step up and be the man. If Brand or Magggette can step up early and tell the team hop on my back we're gonna do somethings, then this team is on its way up. If not then it's gonna be a long six years, cause if they don't step up and do it early the only hope for this teams future might be Wilcox.

Good call Fetter. I agree with everything you just said.

I think depending on the team they play, they should alternate between Brand and Mags as their go-to guys. Brand against smaller teams that cant handle him on the block. And Mags for the rest of the teams. Or they could just go inside-out for to switch guys up. Q could throw in a 3 or post some guys up every now and then too.

Only thing I disagree on is that you say they signed contracts to get out. I don't think this is necessarily true. They signed with other teams, but it was primarily to have a guaranteed amount of money. It was known that the clips don't negotiate if there is no "market value" for a player. I'm just saying that the people there did what they had to do to get paid.

Ya, they always do that crap. They could be up by 20 going into the 4th, and if they play a good team, 9 times out of 10, you're pretty sure they're still gonna lose.

I think Q is gonna start for them now at the 2 spot. With Magette at the 3, Elton at the 4. Either Dooling at the point or Marko. Wilcox probably starts at Center.

Ely or Drobjnak will likely start at center from most reports. Wilcox will probably back up Brand. I don't think he'll have a chance to start at center.
