NBATV probably won't show the players. Otherwise it'd be NBPATV.

BTW, George Cohen said there was no point in further mediation. When George Cohen is giving up on either side, then you know there is a problem.

Not sure why the players won't cave on the BRI. Well, I do, but that's more incompetent leadership than anything else.

Oh wow... So Cohen has given up already? Prepare yourself for no season.

          From Cohen's statement:

"no useful purpose would be served by requesting the parties to continue the mediation process at this time."

                  - Silver says union wants a tit for tat negotiation. If they drop in BRI, they want system to stay the same. League sees BRI and system as completely separate. BRI is to prevent league financial losses. System is for competitive balance.

-No game cancellations today but will meet with Stern and labor committee to discuss canceling games.

Damn, damn, damn!!!!!!!!! Why can't these *******s just continue the process until a deal is hammered out? These jerks are all too dug in for either side to budge, I believe the season was lost tonight. I hope I'm wrong, but I just think these parties can't come to a mutually beneficial deal. ****!!!!!!!!

As all this getting out of hands (with a possible cancellation of the season) I am really questioning the player union for their decision to block an agreement.
At last they are the ones who suffer the most if there won't be no season and playing in a competitive league is the interest for both players and fans.

I never liked "The Decision"...I rather would have liked to see LeBron going elsewhere to form a duo. Imagine Melo/Amare vs. Deron/LeBron vs. Wade/Bosh.
What we have now is one uber-team and a new Brooklyn team that won't be any better than before.

All this CBA thing should have come a year earlier. It's like the football leagues in europe...money wins. And I'm a fan of the NBA b/c I thought it's diffrent here.
