Clearly, the NBA and NBPA made some measure of progress talking quietly over last 48-72 hours leading into bargaining session today in NY.
Two sources -- one on ownership side, one union -- with direct knowledge of latest proposals are encouraged with movement on both sides.Too Old To Game Club

Not true. You can lift the lockout with an agreement in principle and still work on drafting it. Still likely that they cancel all of November but it's not impossible.Comment

The NFL lifted their lockout before they finalized their deal on paper, so I wouldn't see why it wouldn't be any different if there is a verbal agreement.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong.
