Hearing that at 9 p.m., union will offer new proposal: 57 percent, no salary cap, no trade rules, just good, wholesome family fun. #kidding

LOL. No offense but that way of thinking doesn't make sense. These are not 4 or 5 hour issues. If they were done meeting that would be horrible news right now. Long meetings have generally lead to some movement. Short meetings equal no movement.

Well in this case, short meetings have led to longer meetings when then lead to nothing getting done and then that led people to where we are today.

In other words, it's been one big *** circle lol.

Sorry but I dont agree with you on the bold lettered part.
I completely disagree, what happened that long last meeting that lasted how many hours with the mediator? & what happened. NOTHING
sorry but Im still predicting that nothing will happen again... your not making sense, the deadline was suppose to be at 5pm their 1 hour ahead now? What did stern say? hmmm, im telling you now even if the meeting lasts for hours & hours doesn't mean nothing. & No it does not mean to some movement... They already know what they want , their basically 99% done. What else is there really to talk about now? stern just has to tweak the system issues here & there thats it. But their prob exchanging words arguing fighting being ignorant. Nothing will happen tonight, MARK MY WORDS I said it & Im sticking to it. What do you have to say now?

You're doing tons of speculating in your post, throwing out percentage numbers that nobody gave you and giving a prediction off of non evidence

How can anyone make sense of that?

Maybe we'll have a deal if the union offers to pay for dinner.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

When the players dropped to 53....it was a long meeting
When the owners went up to 50.....it was a long meeting.
When the owners and player agreed on the MLE....it was a long meeting
When the players dropped to 51....it was a long meeting.

When Hunter stormed out....it was a short meeting.
When the Owners gave their first take it or leave it ultimatum...it was a short meeting.

Again, I'm not saying a deal will get done tonight. I'm just saying that its not as easy as you think. Here are all the issues:

                      BRI
                      Length of Agreement
                      Luxury Tax
                      Sign and Trades
                      Length of Guaranteed Contracts
Amount of MLE for Tax Teams.

and those are just the A level items. No way you negotiate a deal this big in 4-5 hrs.

Hasn't the union made enough concessions?

The owners will pay for the apps and the entrees, while the union will pay for the dessert. They split alcohol cost down the middle.

Nope, when they show they have enough money to pay for all that food, the owners will really be pissed that they're paying them too much and immediately go to the 47% proposal.
