Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion

If he's wrong some rabid NBA fan is going to hunt him down like a dog and end him.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

Yep. Tom Gores hired Checketts not too long after taking ownership of the Pistons. He's definitely in-the-know regarding what's going on with negotiations.

He's also the owner (or at least part of the ownership group) of the St. Louis Blues NHL team.

Checketts is friends with #NBA's David Stern and was recently interviewed in an NYT profile about the commissioner.

Let's be real clear. No one is reporting this is over. A former prez of the Knicks told a radio show he's told it's over. HUGE difference.

Source says a deal hasn't been reached between NBA and @TheNBPA, but reasons 4 optimism continue. And I haven't been the optimistic type.

Don't get me wrong, would love to be able to credit Dave Checketts for having the scoop. Just not hearing anything to confirm it. #NBA #fb
