Woah, ok I see this is sensitive subject for you people. Don't feel like getting ganged up on again, it is not that important.

I actually think 2 days might be just a little too short, they should give it like 7 days so we can really digest the finals. But I agree the NBA drags things out too long. This shortened free agency could be a good boost for the NBA kind of like it was for the NFL.

According to a the bottom line on ESPN, "it is unlikely for the limit to change to 2 years in the new CBA".

So provided the Christmas matchups remain what they already were, I'm going to say Bulls-Lakers and Heat-Mavs get the two ABC spots, while Grizz-Thunder and Blazers-Spurs get the two ESPN spots leaving Knicks-Celtics on TNT. Keep in mind I have no clue which games were gonna be on what before the season in peril thing.
I thought the NBA CBA expired and in the NFL, the Owners opted out of that one?

Yeah I wasn't entirely sure. I knew one expired and one opted out early I just couldn't remember which one did what. I think you're right though.

They're letting them talking and allowing guys to show up to try to minimize injuries early in this season, but it's not officially business as usual yet. Dec 9 lockout is officially over probably the 8th, whenever the deal is officially voted on by both sides though.

The one positive is that they seem to have agreed to stop exchanging rhetorical jabs against one another in the media. As long as that public posturing was going on, there wasn't going to be any forward movement. Maybe, just maybe, the negotiations will now begin in earnest.

NBA sites to open Thursday; agents can talk

NBA executives have been authorized to begin discussions with player agents at 9 a.m. ET on Wednesday and open their practice facilities to players on Thursday, league sources said.

Sources: Age limit still being hashed out

While NBA owners and representatives for the players have a handshake agreement on the broad points of a new labor deal, there are a host of other elements that still need to be worked out before the league hopes to re-opens.

So we can we actually buy tickets for games?

Is it Dec 9th or the day they release the rest of the schedule?

I am wondering this too, I want to get home opener tickets for the Bobcats, and don't know when they will be available.

Probably Dec. 7th, 8th or 9th. The owners and players will probably vote to ratify the agreement on Wednesday at the earliest.

Damn, I'm trying to hurry up and cop those Nets-Wizards tickets and hopefully find a nice pair of seats for a good deal.

Bought 2 tickets off stub hub last season like 4 rows behind the Wizards' bench for $80 each so I'm hoping to get something close to that again.
