I'll miss it because NBA games are much easier to find than NHL games. I already have to search for online streams for most of my Detroit sports, at least I can still catch national NBA games. Gonna suck having to fill my sports viewing needs with more choppy online feeds

Man, they really need to get this resolved ASAP. 2K12 is a juggernaut and I wanna start my association! Ha!

It's good to see that the agents are now trying to help get a deal done. They're great negotiators, if nothing else. I hope something gets done soon though.

That's because they finally realized waiting out won't help their pockets.

I don't blame you(or any Chicagoian)for being sad there's no hoops since that's basically all you got.

I'm so sad the season will most likely be cancelled until at least Christmas. It was hard enough watching Celtics games here in Texas, it's even harder catching the Bruins =\

Don't know how reliable but still some information.

Sources: 51-49 BRI split could save season this weekend

That came first from Ken Berger's what i heard was

                  No confirmation whatsoever

Notice also that clown Sheridan and Broussard all of a sudden have no information on the insides

That's because it isn't a made up fantasy or it has not a whole lot to do with LeBron.

Thus, both of those guys are irrelevant.

Cmon 23. They have the same info everyone else has. No one has any inside info. There really is no info right now. Best case scenario is sometime Saturday , we hear that Stern and Hunter will meet on sunday. If we don't hear that, get ready to miss a lot of games.

The way I see it is there are 3 camps of writers: Broussard and Sheridan are in the positive camp who have stated definitively they think the league will start on time. Berger and Beck are in the middle ground who believe the league should start on time but are unsure if it will. Finally, guys like Wojo (of Yahoo) and Simmons think the league won't start until January if that. Wojo is the worst though. He has a clear pro player and anti Stern bias.

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion

Well....I think this weekend is really "D-Day" for a full 82 game season. I dont think any offer after this weekend will be any better for the players.......if this lockout doesn't get solved this weekend, the "deal" the players ultimately will get will just get worse and worse the longer (more games missed) this thing drags on.

                        Thats what I think anyways.

So hopefully we get some breakthrough's in the talks.

That's because those 2 clowns never had any inside info and had nothing to go off of thinking the season would start on time. They were guessing just like me and you were

You're right but they posture like they do at what seems like an advantageous time.. I've seen those two ESPN hacks do it just like the rest of those guys...just like Chad Ford, having you pay for insider information and telling you what he heard from a 3rd party. You must admit the journalism has taken a hit as well and at times have been irresponsible

The reporting on these talks have been a little rough. I agree with aholbert32 that no one really had inside information. They basically had the same source and claiming it was theirs.

One thing I will give Sheridan credit on, he was one of the first to go out on a limb and state that he thought that the season was going to start on time. I can’t admonish him for making a bold prediction. He may be wrong but at least he did take a position. NOW if the NBA would have announced a CBA this week, Sheridan would have looked like a genius.
I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm X

Sheridan has never looked like a genius thats the point.. its ok to take your side, but dont act like you have the inside man feeding you stuff then when you're wrong you disappear like batman.......again
