Stern: "We tried very hard. We made concession after concession...I'm proud of my owners...demonstrated that they really tried."

Feels like I'm in a time warp....back to 1998.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
I hope the players that aren't apart of the stupid stand united bullcrap come down hard on the PA.
These morons are saying stand united because they get endorsements and millions upon million a year. But the rest of the guys? They have to move and change and play in Europe or God forbid, China.
NBPA is just foolish, really stupid. They deserved to be screwed.Comment

The smart ones already got their deals. Those middle or bottom of the row players that knew the greed would consume the PA and it did.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
Am I the only one who kind of wants the whole season to be canceled. I hated the 98 season. It was full of sloppy basketball. I'd rather the owners blow it up and institute a hard cap.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
Yep, but this is the Union we're talking about and it's run by the one know as the legendary Billy Hunter. Agents already know it's too late but with the greed of the players and the knowledge of Hunter, who knows.Comment

I don't feel bad for the players who have to go to Europe or Asia to "make ends meet".
At the very worst, they're still making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. They should have been prepared. Unfortunately, their lifestyle precludes them from being responsible. So, if they truly ARE overseas trying to "sustain themselves", then that's pathetic.Comment

However, if we have to cancel a season for the longevity of the game... so be it.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
Why not? Heck, the owners already said that there offer is going down from here. So the player might as well hit the 'nuclear bomb' option and see if they can get the courts on their side.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
I want this season AND next season blown up.
The world needs a break from the NBA.
I love basketball and I love my Suns, AND I'm currently applying for a damn job with the team, but this is just ridiculous. The players have been loathsome through this and Sternn & Co slightly less.
@WojYahooNBA: None of "concessions" ever existed, except in owner's wild first proposal to players.. becomes negotiating point for ownersComment
