He was a GM for what, a year or two?

Yeah, you can really judge him for trying to fix a sorry franchise in under two years.

On paper that was a great trade and at the time, Jordan was praised for that trade. And anyway, he was a great GM, anyone who would manage to get rid of those horrendous contracts they had, Mitch Richmond and Juwan Howard (over 100 million) should be considered a great GM. Of course he didn't get the best players, but you see how they have Gilbert Arenas today, they would NEVER have been able to do that if it weren't for Jordan's moves. Fixing a franchise's payroll IMO is the best way to begin your GM career because it sets you up for the future and he managed to do so in only 2 years. Don't forget, in 2000-2001 the Wiz got around 20 wins, but in 2001-2002 they doubled that number of wins, in 2002-2003 they underachieved but they at least matched the last season's record (they weren't worse off), if that isn't the work of a good GM, i don't know what is.

VERY TRUE, forgot about him unloading those contracts....he just didn't have the respect of the players anymore after he started playing.....he compromised his position.

Anyway, what I see is another great GM move, Jordan was looking for a hardworking veteran that was talented enough to lead a group of apparent misfits to respectable season. So he ended up signing a 38 yr. old player that won 6 championships and 5 mvp's, that still had over 20ppg and he managed to sign him at the league minimum.

Boy, what a great GM .

Some of you guys sound ridiculous!! Zeek, Magic, Bird, Wilt not being a factor??? Man please, guys in the league maybe more ATHLETIC, but they certainly were not MORE TALENTED. Why??? Because unlike these kids today, Bird, Magic, and Zeek STAYED IN SCHOOL!!!!! They had great fundamentals, something that's been missing from the NBA for years.

Another thing. Lattner only has two more years left on his deal for 5 and 6 mil, and then that's it. Remember Jordan traded for Lattner, to get rid of Juwan Howard. Also another thing you must take note on. He was only really GM for 2 years. He didn't do anything in his 3rd year because he got fired!! How do you let someone fix there mistakes if you fire them??? Jordan was just beginning to understand what the team needed. And you think Jordan is a bad GM?? Who the hell paid Arenas 8-12 mill over the 6 years??? And gives Stackhouse an extension??? LMAO. Stack is a cancer, and they should not of extended his contract.

He had every right to rip into that team. Because they were to be in the freakin playoffs, not because he wanted to, but because that's where they were suppose to be. It's a load of crap that they failed so horribly. He assembled them to win, and they underachieved. On paper they were a playoff team!!!!!! Wouldn't you be piss if you brought guys to play and your 40 busting your butt, while their all just standing still looking at you??? I swear, some of you guys have the worst judgement of the Wiz situation.

KWAME IS A PUSS!! And shouldn't be in this league. Stack is a cancer and shouldn't be on this team. Jordan, Oakman and, Collins should of cracked the whip one more time on Kwame. He had no right to curse out anyone when plays like s**t everytime he's on the court. When you have 6 rings, and 5 mvp's, you think you could get a little respect.
