    Dirk vs. Webber

I'm having an argument with my friends. They all say Webber is better than Dirk. I keep telling them that Dirk is one of the top 5 offensive players in the league. I say Dirk is way ahead of CWEBB.

    Who would you take?

if i was a GM i would so take Dirk.. <- me showing love for Dirk
i think Webber is at a point in his career from where he will prolly get worse,
Dirk in contrast will still get better an better---

    oh well, my 2 cents..

it might be a hard decision right now, but wait at least 2 year, and Dirk will
be twice as good... (you know what i mean... )

I'd pick Dirk because he is so good and not in his prime yet. Chris webber is past his prime and won't get better.

I'd pick Dirk as well. Webber still has a few more years left in him but he's run into some injury problems. I also don't like Webber as a team leader. (anyone remember his days in Michigan?) Dirk, even tho he was injured at a critical point in the playoffs last year WANTED to be on the court for the Mavs and for that you have to give him props.

As others have said he hasn't reached his prime yet.

No brainer. It's Dirk for sure. I don't know if I'd pick ANYONE over him. T-Mac maybe? (showed he can't finish a team off in the playoff though) Kobe? (egomaniac worried about his numbers more than his team and places the blame on others) Yao? (intriguing combination of size and skills and very young) KG? (see T-Mac) Duncan? (only one I'd really consider, better defender than dirk not as good on "O") and there are other great players but I don't want to list everybody elses' favorite player. That's my 2 cents.

You don't have to be a great offensive player to be a team leader or centerpiece for a ball club. (see Wallace, Ben and Russel, Bill)
