Ehh...it weren't weren't so damn fragile and soft he would be way better than Dirk and probably one of the top three players in the NBA. Ever since he found a jumper he seems to float outside a little too much and he's become averse to physical contact. I actually miss the Webber that couldn't shoot but led the league in rebounding in '99.

Dirk is an amazing offensive player but his defense is downright offensive too Seriously, have you guys ever seen Dirk lock up someone? Dude gets pushed around is incredibly inept at shutting down the paint for someone who is 7 feet tall. People seem to get caught up on how versatile he is on the offensive end yet he can't seem to translate that versatility to at some serviceable toughness on the defensive end. Regardless of who is better, I would think that guys that play both ends of the floor (Duncan, a fit Shaq, and dare I say it Kobe) are ultimately more valuable.

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post"> Serioulsy you need to watch more than one game to make a judgement, you sheep. I call you a sheep cause that's what you are, a sheep. You repeat stuff all the Mav haters say, "No "D" in Dirk, Only offense." please that's so far off. Now he's not a All NBA first defensive team, but he's plenty good enough. How many times has he given up tons of points? Point it out, the problem is that you can't. Dirk's "D" is not bad it's not great either. Hey how about you come up with something original before you go bashing players ok? And some FACTS to back up your staements would be really nice too.

seems like the majority is Dirk.

I'd go with Dirk too. He's is just a nightmare for anyone to match up with. He has an amazing shot, can drive to the basket, and can post up the smaller guys. He does it all on the offensive end. His passing isn't nearly as good as Webber's, but it is good enough. And while his D isn't as horrible as it used to be, it still isn't the greatest. He gets by tho, and that would be my only knock on him. Oh, that and his ankles get hurt a good amount also. And for those who might get mad, notice I said that his D is good enough.

As for Webber, he was/is a great player. He is kinda soft tho, and depends on his J too much. He should be murdering fools on the inside, which is exactly what Sacto needs, but he doesn't. He likes to fade to the outside a bit too much, kinda like Rasheed. He is extremely injury prone, and isn't that great of a leader. I love his passion when he plays tho, not quite to the KG level, but still nice to see. And like I said above, he is a great passer.

I guess I'm the lone guy here...I would take CWEB if I'm trying to win now...Dirk maybe if I'm building for the future..I'm sorta old school when it comes to my front court...I love the fact that Dirk can extend the D pass the 3 point line, but I also look at the downside of having your big man that far away from the basket...It just forces other guys to pick up the slack on the board. What good is it to be 7 ft if you are constantly away from the basket....I would have to agree with about CWebb injury problems...but I would still take him...

Ya, but what good is having a low post guy now if he doesnt play in the low-post too often? Or if he isn't even playing at all? Granted, he plays down there more than Dirk does, but still doesn't that often.

I don't think the Maloofs or Petrie or even Adelman would have a problem with trading CWebb for Dirk. But I think Nellie and Cuban would probably have a problem losing the Diggler. But that's just my opinion.
