Didn't say that, all I'm saying is at the time the trade when down, they traded Javaris who at that time hadn't done anything in the League, Kwame who was a #1 pick bust and the draft rights to a second round pick for one of the top players in the league. Thats my point

I would rather Dwight come to LA, but I can dig him going to Brooklyn. I'm sure D Will will stay if Dwight comes. Then you have a nice duo with the Nets. I'm sure the bitch *** owners would be happy to see Dwight with the Nets rather than the Lakers.

So instead of calling him an idiot and saying that he is a hypocrite, how about someone refute what he is saying?

And if someone had this much passion about the Hornets, someone should have bought them by now.

I have to agree, Dan Gilbert said the truth in his letter. The Paul trade would actually give them another All-Star, clear cap space & they keep their picks...
It's time for the Lakers to be a bottom team for a while like most of the rebuilding franchises...

OSU your right. Gilbert hit it on the head. This isn't about assets, this about the Lakers getting their man & clearing a ton of CAP Space in the next 2 years to keep signing stars.

I said this yesterday. How is this a fair deal when the Lakers basically dump 2 contracts, get 1 back & here's the big-1, lose no draft picks in the process...

Kudos to Dan Gilbert for stating what other owners were afraid to say

Lakers dumping contracts now? Since when did the Buss family need to duo contracts? Lamar is just above mle and only signed till next year, and Pau is an elite big man whose signed to a reasonable contract for the next 3 years. Lakers had the assets and the Hornets received probably close to maximum considering he walks fkr nothing in a few months. Don't see why it's the Lakers fault, or how then not giving up their entire front court, was highway robbery.

Obviously, there are coaches, owners, and players that are furious over the the situation that has arisen over the league-owned Hornets.

Isn't this something that could've been worked out in the CBO during the lockout or am I wrong? My legal knowledge comes from watching copious amounts of Law and Order back in the day, so I'm not sure. There are quotes from Phil Jackson from a year ago foreshadowing these events very accurately. It's not like it was an unknown situation until now.

The Lakers traded $27 million for $16 million.

Anyway you look at it, they saved money there. And it's not so much the Lakers gaining cap as it is the Hornets gaining cap.

The NBA owns the Hornets and thinks this was a bad trade. They have the right to say "no, find a better deal."

Man, what a ****ing crazy situation, though. Definitely a historic moment in NBA history.

I agree with Odom but Pau an elite big man? If he finds his testicles again, I might agree with that. Until then, no dice.

NBA owners should be mad at themselves for being bad owners. God forbid an owner actually try to make their team competitive, instead of owning a NBA team for **** and giggles.
