Revisionist history. One, no idea if either of those rooks will be good. Two, only one of those picks came from tanking. The (#1 pick) other came from the Davis/Williams trade. Just like the Cavs, those "pretty good" players could be traded for younger talent or future picks.

Finally, the Cavs could afford to do that because they leveraged the Lebron sweepstakes into getting all its season ticket holders to renew. The Hornets can't afford to do that.

They'll probably take a trade from the Knicks if it included Melo. BUT with the Knicks amnestying Chauncy Billups today, that puts the Knicks right into the race for Paul
Don't forget Baron Davis is supposed to be getting amnestied and looking to go to New York. So that could be the case as well.

Ofcourse nobody knows. They could have traded LeBron and that could have failed. Nobody never knows anything. I'm saying I rather try everything to keep my difference maker instead of trading him for a bunch of good player and/or role players. I rather suck and put myself in a position to draft another difference maker.

It's yesterday's news now... this thread has turned into crap because of it at that.

I'd rather discusss what's going to happen with Dwight than to keep looking at merry go round posts about what didnt happen in LA another day

Its on the front page of Espn, Si and Fox sports.com. There is no news on Dwight other than he reportedly wants to go to the Nets.

The Paul situation is still ongoing with the potential lawsuit and whether
Paul will report. Its still relevant. I'd rather discuss that than James Jones resigning with the Heat. When new big news is reported, that will take over the thread.

We don't know what we will/would get if this trade does or doesn't go through. So why even make the point that the Cavs don't know what their rookies will do. You never know.

For me I rather risk bringing in a difference makers via an early draft pick than to rely on Martin and Odom carrying this team any where other than a first round exit(if they even make the playoffs).

ESPN doesn't have anything to do anyway, they're a borderline gossip site

I wish these sources would find out if Dwight actually said he would like to go to NJ, but im sure he's in hiding right now from their sources so they can't ask him

and as for chris paul, a lawsuit is ridiculous, the guy just wants to get his money and have his cake too

Somebody needs to tell him to shut up and finish his last year then he can go where he wants, problem solved... this immature madness is getting on my nerves

I think Toney Douglas would be given the keys to play PG once Chauncey is amensty'd.

Same with the Bulls. They're right on the edge of a championship but haven't heard a thing about what they're about. GOSH, at least sign Jamal Crawford or Jason Richardson to get started.
