Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
Im ready for the next wave of stuff to pop off, cause all the cp3 lakers stuff is bogging down this glorious day.
Either something will happen or it wont.. All that really matters is that Marc Gasol is resigned at 2:01 pm.Ericmaynor3.com

I'm not expecting too much though. This FA class is pretty weaksauce. A little interested to see if Chandler still goes to the Knicks and a few other things.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

maybe they amnesty paul, so now its fair to the small markets who will get a chance to bid on him.

Lakers dumping contracts now? Since when did the Buss family need to duo contracts? Lamar is just above mle and only signed till next year, and Pau is an elite big man whose signed to a reasonable contract for the next 3 years. Lakers had the assets and the Hornets received probably close to maximum considering he walks fkr nothing in a few months. Don't see why it's the Lakers fault, or how then not giving up their entire front court, was highway robbery.

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
Here you go, Matrix:
The Mickael Pietrus era appears to be over in Phoenix, as the Suns have agreed to trade the small forward to the Raptors for a conditional second round draft pick, according to the Toronto Star.
Pietrus will need to pass the customary physical, which might get interesting considering the fact that he missed the last 12 games of last season due to a knee injury — one he sought to treat with some fairly unconventional methods.
The Suns acquired Pietrus last December as part of the deal that brought Marcin Gortat and Vince Carter to Phoenix in exchange for Jason Richardson, Hedo Turkoglu, and Earl Clark. Pietrus wasn’t a great fit in Phoenix; his teammates there didn’t seem to embrace his goofy personality in the positive way his teammates in Orlando had. And on the court, before the injury, Pietrus’s play could be described as inconsistent at best, damaging to his team’s chances at worst.
The conditional second round pick isn’t much to give up, and with just one year left on his deal at a cost of $5.3 million, he’s worth taking a shot at from the Raptors’ side. While the Suns aren’t expected to use the new amnesty clause to get out from under an existing player’s contract this season, if they did, Pietrus was the leading candidate to be cut under that provision.#RespectTheCultureComment

Not sure if this has been mentioned BUT was the rejected Paul to the Lakers trade backlash for some stuff he said during the CBA negotiations? I heard he was very vocal at Peter Holt.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
We are closer without this 40mil. There will be talent to sign due to the new tax rules. We have cap space to over spend on a salary like Rudy Gay and/or Greg Oden.
The NBA other than any league I'm fimiliar with is about superstars. We have seen Detriot win without 1.
Dragic has 1 year, Odom and Martin has 2 years under contract. What's to stop them from leaving or forcing us to trade them after next year? Clearly Odom doesn't want to be here. 3 out of 4 pieces by the start of next year anyways.
LOL. So you are just talking about how much cap space you will have without the trade but in the same breath you complain about players who will leave and give you cap space. Odom has a team option next year so if he wants to leave or NO doesn't want him...there is 8.9 mil of your beloved cap space. More cap space comes if you don't want to keep Dragic. You can use that to sign Gay or Oden.Comment

Pau is a multi time all star and one of the top 5 (maybe 3) PF's in the game. He makes 18 mil. KG makes 21. Dirk makes 19. Duncan makes 18. Sounds reasonable to me.Comment
