The only thing Nene affects is the Nets can't offer to take Hedo's contract back now in a Howard deal. It has never been said that's a deal breaker to Orlando but it was the one advantage they had.. The other advantage is draft picks. There's so much BS out there it's hard to keep track but after the Carmelo mess last year, this could be deja vu all over again.

Also according to the NY Post
One source has maintained the Nets may eventually flip Nene in a deal that could lead to Howard, who has been the prime target all along. However getting to Howard now could be a mess.

I guess dealing him later on is an option too.. But if you're the Nets you can't sit back and do nothing so I'm all for this Nene deal. Money is crazy but someones gotta get paid and when you have a combined 30 something wins over the last 2 years, you're gonna have to overpay no matter who you target.

Just heard the Lakers deal got **** blocked.

Honestly, I think it was a bad trade for the Lakers, and they should be happy it didn't go through.

Gasol is very underrated. Odom may be old, but he's still a matchup nightmare for opposing teams.

Did Lakers fans really want Bynum to be their only front court presence lol

This x10000. I am a very casual NBA fan, but when I see Broussard on ESPN or hear him on the radio all this guy is doing is spewing nonsense. Makes me sick.

It's sad what gets passed as "journalism" these days.

This NBA owners blocking the Paul trade reminds me of why I love fantasy football so much. Add a waiver wire during free agency and the NBA off season will never be topped.

I don't think the new CBA allows that Nene flip. Think they would have to wait until the new year.

He was talking all kind of nonsense about if he rubbed someone the wrong way with the reality show and all kinds of garbage. Just crying...literally.

I don't know how he'll make it through the season anywhere but L.A.

L.A. has to take him off the trade block because he sounded like he should be on suicide watch. Whatever trade value you guys claimed he had...is gone.

Yeah that was terrible to listen to. Heard it last night. I've never heard a player take a trade that hard. It was sad to me. After his pathetic early exit strategy for game 4 he should not have been that surprised. Even Magic felt obligated to apologize on his and the Lakers behalf for it. I do think this shot in the face to LO will motivate him this year.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

I'm hoping it would be the Bulls. Noah is great - and yeah, the City of Chicago (including me) loves him - but I don't know how you could argue Noah over Howard right now. He does everything Noah does, with offense included.

Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard = Lock it UP. And Adidas would have a field day, haha.
My dark horse would be the Celtics. Rondo is almost guaranteed to want out of Boston after all the rumors, so I would think Boston could basically throw the same package at Orlando that they were throwing at New Orleans.

However, I feel like that's less likely to occur after they already did a sign and trade with the Magic lol.

I'm definitely hoping Dwight goes to Jersey/Brooklyn.

Well because Rondo isn't a sufficient scorer, they would have to get a third team involved surely. Plus, not so sure the Celtics would be willing to take on Turk.

I wouldn't think the Bulls would mind taking Turk, since we need another decent scorer and outside option. Don't know how his salary would affect his cap, and the money won't be available for Derrick Rose to resign, so I'm not so sure anymore.
