Yeah I'd assume either T-Will or Jordan Hill. This could turn out to be a team full of players "auditioning" for next year, in a sense. And who knows, the Hornets could tank enough and get Austin Rivers or Harrison Barnes.

If the owners wanted "competitive balance" they should have let the players keep part of the BRI. Instead they should have negotiated some sort of franchise tag. I'm sure you would still have the **** that we've had to deal with the past few years, but maybe it wouldn't be quite as bad.

Is the first page in this thread going to be updated? Tough to keep the rumors separate from the facts through this circus.

So with Pau being shipped out of LA and us now having Chandler/Amare/Melo can anyone disagree that we have the best front line in the NBA?

We obviously lack depth (Jerome Jordan and Jared Jeffries off the pine ) but who else is competing with that?

Crazy we went from a small-ball team to a big team with the best front line just by signing one role player.

We've got to protect those Lakers. Can't have them running around with a weak front court. #baskeballreasons

I'm excited to see NY, you think the Pringles Man will know how to coach this team though?

As it stands it severely diminishes the Lakers front court, Dwight is far from a guarantee.

Amnesty would have been in the deal even if we missed a season. Nothing would stop Billups from doing what he's doing.

Pringles claimed that our offense will now run through Melo "like the 80's Celtics ran through Bird".

I think Melo is an underrated passer, he's just not always a willing passer. It'll be an interesting development to watch for sure. It could crash and burn, Amare definitely did not mesh all that well with Melo last year.

as sad as it is to think about no basketball, I agree. I hate players dictating where they are traded to......thats what free agency is for. You make MILLIONS of dollars playing a game, suck it up you damn prima donnas

I hated the first deal but Im in love with the second for LA.

I hated losing 2 big man with only a guard in return. But gaining okafor and bynum down low really gives us a big defensive presence. Imagine the pick and rolls paul will run in LA with bynum and okafor. This will give Kobe better looks. Now add in Artest's overrated but still ok defense.
Add the signing of a shooter in Kapono. Don't forget possibly Jermaine Oneal who is a veteran (yes veterans are very important to a team)

LA has made a good trade imo with the second deal.

It's a damn guarantee. I guaran-damn-tee it Vince-style that Howard is in LA within the next 8 months.

Reports are that Okafor isn't involved in the second deal.

Plus, more than likely Bynum is going to NO. If anything, they're trying to work out where the smaller pieces will go, and to what teams. But basically IMO what will happen is:

Hornets get Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum, bunch of other young guys
                          Rockets get Pau Gasol
                          Lakers get Chris Paul

                              Tyson Chandler:

"The most difficult thing is having to make those phone calls to Dirk and (Jason) Kidd and Jet and all the guys that I played with," Chandler said. "When I say this, I say it from the heart: I truly love those guys and I will forever, because we stood side by side and accomplished the ultimate."

Sacramento Kings sign Isaiah Thomas to a 3-year deal, according to Yahoo! Sports. He was the last pick in the draft. Must have saw something they liked.
