When any other move gets made, there's a comment or two and we move on, but any tweet about one of those guys (regardless of the source) is analyzed to death. ESPN is obviously reporting on what everyone seemingly wants to talk about, so I can't be mad. And it's not just my man Drewski with the trade machines, master plans, Laker praise, and super long analyses, it's pretty much the majority talking Lakers, Howard, and Paul.

And since Red and I basically represent the Rockets in these here parts, no we haven't officially amnestied Thabeet. Sadly, he's the only "true center" on our team (and I hope we stay clear of Dalmbert and it stays that way). #tank

I been slow on the moves. Can anyone update me?

I just saw that Vince Carter and Delonte West signed with Dallas. So now Mark replaces Tyson Chandler, Caron Butler and J.J. Barea with Vince, Delonte and Odom.

Aside: is anyone elses like button not working for mobile?

IF this trade goes dow, I get the feeling it's going be Deron, Duhwight, Turkeyglue, and roster filler after that.

Oh well, beggars can't be choosers and we need to do SOMETHING so if we have to give them half of the roster, then give half of the roster and then some.

At least you get Deron and Duhwight.

The thought of Turkeyglue and OutLOL being on the same team...sends shivers down my spine.

The Pistons and restricted free agent Rodney Stuckey are struggling to come to terms on a long-term contract, sources said.

The Detroit Pistons and restricted free agent Rodney Stuckey are struggling to come to terms on a long-term contract, sources said.

Stuckey, the Pistons' top free agent this offseason, is balking at what the Pistons are prepared to pay him. The Pistons have discussed a deal that would pay Stuckey between $40 million and $45 million over five years, according to sources.

By comparison, Mike Conley agreed to a five-year, $40 million extension with the Memphis Grizzlies in November.

Stuckey's representatives, seeking an even bigger deal, have been contacting other teams the past few days, looking to broker a sign-and-trade deal. However, the Pistons are telling teams that they won't agree to a sign-and-trade for Stuckey, sources said.

If the impasse continues, Stuckey's reps are threatening to take the Pistons one-year, $3.87 million qualifying offer for Stuckey, which would make him an unrestricted free agent in 2012.

"We'll either come to a long term agreement or we'll do the one year qualifying offer," one source said.
                          Ahem....

The New Jersey Nets have entered into serious talks with the Orlando Magic on a multi-team trade scenario that would bring Dwight Howard to the Nets, according to sources close to the process.

League officials representing the New Orleans Hornets and the Los Angeles Clippers continued discussions into Tuesday night on a trade that would put Chris Paul on the same team with Blake Griffin, according to sources briefed on the talks.
