Some of those comments on that ESPN page are so ironic. A lot of Laker fans saying things like, "Haha Clippers getting excited about two meaningless preseason games." But, the flip side is also true, Lakers getting all bent out of shape because Clippers are dunking on them right and left in meaningless preseason games.

Don't complain about it, play some defense in the paint.

It would be like a defensive back in the NFL crying that the WR he was covering was celebrating after a TD.

Exactly. Don't like them celebrating after every dunk? Don't let them dunk.

All I can say is, I hope the same people complaining or what have you about Barnes' actions aren't the same ones that always say "well back in such and such era, you would never see all of this celebrating after dunks/three's" etc. etc.

I don't care either way for what Barnes says or does but hell at least he's showing some apparent "old school grit" that some people always say is missing from today's game.

Personally, I am not a big fan of all the celebrating either. I just think that him complaining about it is a bit funny considering who he plays for.

The Lakers have never celebrated after making shots and dunking. They have been the epitome of sportsmanship the past decade of so.

That is why I love them so much.

...So... why is it funny? Isn't it expected that a team that isn't known for celebrating and that's got a bunch of vets on its roster would be the one calling out an overhype squad?

Maybe I wasn't watching all that closely, but i really didn't see all this celebrating after dunks for the Clippers. They didn't celebrate no more than any other dunk in the NBA is celebrated. Meh.

Stevenson, Marion and Kidd might have been the most underated defensive wing tandem in the league last year.

One thing about him unlike LeBron is he's not afraid to take a big shot. The dude could go 0/5 and then turn around and hit a huge 3 under pressure.

I hope he does well in New Jersey he seems like the type of defender that Avery will love to have on his team.

Former NBA starters Ricky Davis and Greg Ostertag have decided to make an NBA comeback through the NBA Development League, league sources told Ridiculous Upside on Thursday night. Both players have signed D-League contracts and will find out their new teams after clearing waivers on Tuesday afternoon. Ridiculous

Which is a crock anyway, players celebrate no where near as much as they did in the late 80s-90s....

If you all re-read, the big portion that Barnes was upset about was the flopping of the Clippers players. Not the fact that they were celebrating, rather they were celebrating and flopping.

Yeah I didn't even read the article to be honest, but I was just responding to the people saying "well if you don't want them to celebrate after a dunk, don't let them dunk". That logic is not the best...

I'm too young to speak on that, but I know I've read some people's comments here that consist of 'well player X [from the past] would have laid out player B [from this era] if he did any of that nonsense, and he would never think of doing that again'...

                              Idk.

                              Anyway

-Nate Robinson close to a buyout with Thunder, will become an UFA
-Melo wants KMart, but KMart can't play until March
                              -Heat waived Eddie House

And again WTF, dude needs to shut the **** up because he's got Derek Fisher sitting in his foxhole with him. Nobody here likes flopping, I don't think anybody anywhere likes the flopping in the NBA, but when a dude is on a team featuring the current Flopping All Stars team captain, that pretty much disqualifies him from complaining about people flopping. It's like he's bitching because they didn't get the email saying there's no rules against flopping in the preseason and thus got beat at they're own game. Cause I can assure you right now both Fish and Metta are gonna have some doozies at some point this season and this cat's mouth is going to be surgically sewn shut about that ****.
