Ray Allen for Mayo trade fell through at the deadline
If it would've went through, I would probably have Memphis coming out of the West. That would have been a perfect fit.

Ray Allen for Mayo trade fell through at the deadline
Before the Big Three could make it past the trade deadline, Allen-to-the-Grizzlies had to fall apart and discussions on a deal that would have sent Paul Pierce to the New Jersey Nets for an expiring Mehmet Okur contract and a lottery pick never reached completion, league sources said. Celtics general manager Danny Ainge loves the talent in the 2012 NBA draft, but he still gets one more run, one more chance with this group in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Pissed wouldn't have even been good enough to describe me if this move did actually go down.

Knicks have waived Bill Walker to make room to sign Dan Gadzuric. Six more fouls in the playoffs.

After that, the big question is if Williams will play for the Nets when the franchise moves to Brooklyn in the fall. Williams will opt out of his contract and become a free agent July 1, but he says he’ll waste no time initiating the decision-making process.
“It’s a big decision,” Williams said. “So I want to put as much time and thought into it as I can. I’ll probably get with my agent [Jeff Schwartz] and see what he thinks. He’s been through this process a thousand times with a thousand guys, so I’m going to rely on him.”
In the meantime, Williams will continue working out at the Nets’ practice facility in East Rutherford when the season ends this week. But that decision was easy.
“It’s definitely convenience,” Williams said. “My kids are still in school until the end of June, so I’m going to be around here until I leave for the Olympics.”

Oh to be tall and slightly athletic.

This article from Grantland titled The NBA's "That Dude Made What?" All Stars is pretty funny.

                Dan Gadzuric

Career stats: 4.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 0.9 blocks
Career earnings: 8 years, $37.6 million (through 2011)

I’m sure there’s an explanation for the six-year, $36 million contract Gadzuric got from the Bucks (a moment of temporary insanity for GM Larry Harris, blackmail, etc.), but none of them have anything to do with basketball. The season before, Gadzuric had averaged the highest point total of his career — a staggering 7.3 a night.
