Looks like no NYK? I am a Doubting Thomas on Vince at this point in his career. But with that said, I am not so sure he couldn't help any of those three teams out.
Good God no!! I want no part of Vince. I've been a fan throughout his career, Vince circa early New Jersey, sign me up. This Vince? Noooooo thank you.

Why would Miami be interested in him? Same for SA?

Yeah, if I'm Chicago, I would stay away from Vince. I want Chicago to get someone who can actually make a play on the perimeter besides Rose. I even somewhat question how J-Rich would fit in, but I'd definitely prefer J-Rich to Vince by a mile.

It seems like any veteran wingman is linked one way or another to Miami or SA. Battier, Butler etc. etc.

Vince to Miami? I think their thoughts are to replace Mike Miller's role. 6th man who can come in and score a little bit and spot up and hit open shots.

SA? Pointless signing lol. Not sure why they want to keep piling on corpses.

I wish I could throw Vince's punk *** out of Phoenix myself. Physically just throw his damn body into the plane.

Please God, if you care about me, put Vince in Miami.

As to you, PPM, man, Nene would scare the **** out of me if I were a Nets fan. That guy screams money pit, even more than Chandler.

I mean I get that we need another big since Humphries is going to want more money than the Nets are willing to commit to him, but in this awful FA class, especially at PF and C where none of the players are max type guys at all, they're nearing 30 and have a track record of dealing with some type of injury.

My only worry about signing Nene is for some reason, I just see him slowly transforming into our version of Jerome James(really hope I am wrong)especially since this is his last BIG payday he'll be getting.
Man, Nenê is way more talented than Jerome James ever was. He is a injury concern and doesn't rebound extremely well, but plays solid interior defense and can score inside. He definitely isn't a Max-type, isn't an elite player, yet he could flourishe on a team where he isn't the number one or two guy. I'm interested in where he'll end up, wish the Spurs could sign him.

Who are the "corpses" on the Spurs? Most of our bench are young, unproven guys other than McDyess. He probably won't be returning - through retirement, trade or waiver - and I doubt we sign Carter. He's washed up and doesn't help us in anyway. We'll need interior scoring or defense to help Duncan, Splitter and (if he returns) Blair. A veteran point guard would also help a ton.

Duncan, RJ, Dice.. maybe an exaggeration, but they don't need Vince Carter one bit.

That's the exact problem he faces should he sign with NJ for big money. He will be the number two guy at least if he goes to NJ. That tag comes with getting paid big money.

If he hasn't done anything to earn max money in the first place, I don't really expect him to surpass his previous production by much if at all.

He would be depended upon to do a lot of the heavy lifting in NJ, much more so than in Denver. That doesn't bode well for NJ since he really isn't a force on either end of the floor and has never shown the ability to carry a team.

Going back to GSW trading Monta Ellis, who would be the likely trade partner? Back in June the 76ers looked at trading Iggy for Monta but that's a bad trade for Philly IMO. Maybe Minnesota, but who do they offer back?

Nah, I think that Lopez would be the number two guy and Nenê would play more of a complimentary role. He definitely isn't deserving of a max contract or being the best player on a quality team or contender. He could help a young team like New Jersey/Brooklyn with his defensive abilities and scroing efficiency. They would miss Humphries rebounding, though. They also need a quality back-up at the PF/C since Petro sucks and Jordan Williams is a project/developmental player.

And according to David Aldridge, Butler will be visiting the Nets on Wednesday and they will also get in contact with Jamal Crawford on Monday.

What team has a starting PG with enough size (6'4" or taller) to compensate for Monta's undersized frame? He needs to go to a team similar to the early-2000's 76ers, that's the only way he'll ever have an impact beyond scoring a buch of empty points and losing.

Actually, Jrue Holiday wouldn't be a bad tbackcourt mate for Monta, only because he has solid size (legit 6'4" ) and isn't a scorer. They would need to trade"Sweet" Lou Williams because having him and Monta on the same roster would be redundant, IMO.
