Really dude? Adande? The biggest LA homer at ESPN next to Plaschke.
I think that mythical NO team would be competitive. See what the 8 spot did last year? Not saying they would be as good as the Griz, but they would have SOME talent to compete with some of the better teams. Not like they are going to get another superstar back in return for Paul.

Don't think it would take that long especially if he files a preliminary injunction. If he goes the arbitration route through the CBA it could be even faster.

Yes, if he files a PI. The minute there is a filing, the NBA may decide it doesn't want to fight that battle especially when the trade wasn't extremely lopsided.

Being competitive and contending for a championship are two completely different things. They wouldn't be a team on everyone's schedule where you say, "Oh, that's an easy win." Even though the goal for a team is to win a championship, it's only realistic for 1/4 of the league.

Then again, my favorite point guard has been with his team through thick and thin, poor management and good management, roster overhauls, and anything else you can think of and he's handled it with class, grace, and loyalty all the way through. Guess I've come to expect more out of the people I can root for.
That is almost everyone in the NBA tho....

I would be pissed off too If I, after years and years of failure, got to be happy with my job then only to have it be shot down...

Maybe CP3 should pull a Costanza and show up at Laker training camp as if he belongs.

Cool, so now we're going to ignore the post presence the Grizz had last year right? We're going to ignore how they were a bad matchup for the Spurs right? We're going to ignore that Zach Randolph is on that not a superstar, but kinda near it level right?

How were the Hornets gonna roll into the Western Conference playoffs like the Grizz? Cause that got that monster asset LO? Dude was just crying because he got traded but he was about to roll to New Orleans and ball the Hornets to the second round flanked by Louis Scola and Emeka? Cool story.

This veto wasn't a deal stopping CP3 from being a Laker. This was a deal that was stopping Dwight and CP3 joining together.

Guess it's the Lakers fault for having the assets to do this (and Bynum was not one of LA's "gifted" assets. He's homegrown.)
Dude, this isn't NBA 2K12. Bynum, Artest and (insert trash or leftovers) isn't enough to get Howard. Other teams can offer better players and picks for his services. Every team isn't the '77 Bucks or '67 76ers and just eager to gift wrap y'all another HOF center. They're better off letting him walk then getting ****ed over by the Lakers again. Especially for a guy that'll never reach Dwight's level of play and has two bum knees.

Sounds like back pedaling and soft argumentation to me. Ah well. I mean despite the fact that it just happened, I guess there's always an excuse. Not like Kevin Martin was included, or Goran Dragic for that matter (he can play). Don't see NO getting more value than what they just got, again, Paul is going to walk for nothing or for whatever team that does end up "trading" (assuming the league lets them trade him) Paul is going to leave NO with MUCH less than what they had in that haul.

LOL. I was only off by 3 weeks w/ my NBA prediction.

All jokes aside, he will probably go the arbitration route and report sometime next week unless Stern makes a deal before that.
