    @Chris_Broussard Chris Broussard
Nets have emerged as No. 1 choice for Dwight Howard, multiple sources say. D12 is expected to ask Magic to trade him to NJ.

It's Broussard though, take it for what it's worth.

That just screams Broussard has been getting outscooped on everything this week and today, so he's gotta throw some **** against the wall and hopes it sticks so he's out in front of things.

Apparently his representatives have told the Nets he wants to go there. Has he ever been to Newark? It's not a fun place to be lol

So much for that no cold weather theory.

Still think the Bulls should try and throw a wrench in all their plans and really take hold of the East.

Just jumping in on the thread, but Yahoo Sports says Dan Gilbert (no surprise) was one of the owners complaining and sent out an email to David Stern asking, "When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington General?"

Here's a link to the article where you can read the rest of the email:

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)

              From A. Sherrod Blakely (@SherrodbCSN)

"#Celtics were confident they were on the verge of landing Paul. Source says they were already planning a physical for him."

Reporters in Boston are getting word from the Celtics FO that the Celtics offered Rondo, Green, 2 firsts (including the Clippers pick this year), and Avery Bradley. The Hornets liked this deal the best, approved the trade, but CP3 nixed the deal and threatened to not show up at camp if he wasn't dealt to the Lakers. This lines up with Stern saying he didn't want CP3 to be able to dictate where he goes.

Also, to those upset who say the deal was fair in terms of the players NOH was receiving, that is not the issue. The issue is that NOH was having to TAKE ON $15 mil in salary to make the deal work financially for LA. So LA was shifting their bad salary cap situation onto a league owned team. This means the owners would be on the hook for that $15 mil, and they balked.

Thanks for this. So common sense prevailed.

I will never get this about ANY NBA player.

But yeah, Newark is definitely a ****hole...luckily we're only there for 4-5 more months. But I get your point though

I actually went to school in NJ and my dorm was in the heart of Newark. Awful.

As far as the NBA players, I'd imagine it has a lot to do with these guys being coddled from high school and treated like superstars, that they think they have the right to say things like that or pick and choose. It's an absolute joke. It's a privilege to play sports for a living, not a right.

...and now he wants to sue?

If you want LA that bad play out your contract and sign for the vets minimum next year or the MLE.... Problem solved CP3

I don't have a problem with the league vetoing this deal. They all own a stake in the Hornets so they have legitimate say. Where my problem lays is Stern said he would butt out and let Demps control the situation and now because of the deal he's butting in. He should have said that he would be involved in the process if necessary.

I'm having a really hard time watching CP3 behave like this. He is under contract and don't officially have any say where he plays until he can opted out next year.

The league has allowed this to get ridiculously awkward. How can we keep Paul even through this season? Dude has been a class act up until now. His is about to damage his image beyond control and not only in Gulf coast region.
