Please provide a link or a quote that the trade is on again. Or are you speculating for the 1000th time?

Who is T-Will? You can't be mentioning Terrence Williams of Houston because he's a swingman, not a power forward/center. He won't provide help the paint at all.

You're supporting my statement right? Because that chart is exactly what I said.

Compare teh two charts. 69% of Lebron's attempts are jumpshots. 25% "close" 5% dunk 31% inside(layups/post).

Kobe flat out takes 16% more of his FGs as jumpshots. That's a huge portion. Kobe's 2% is "dunking" aka getting to the rim 15% inside (getting to the rim and laying it up). Substantially lower than Lebron.

I'm sure what the Lakers were thinking but at the same time I'm not too thrilled about Odom

He's a talented and versatile player that could help Dallas or he could continue to cry all year like a baby about being away from LA.

At this point the way that team acted last year just because they were getting beat i really don't want any Lakers on the Mavs roster. I mean if your man enough to celebrate when your winning then you should be man enough to congradulate the other team when you lose.

Lamar Odom and Andre Bynum IMO were classless during that Dallas series acting like goons.

In the long term the Lakers will be O.K, because they're the Lakers. This season though is looking like a disaster. If we had stood pat, just signed the rookies, played the kids from last year more, brought in Kapono, and another vet on the cheap, I would have said there was a decent chance to compete for the title. Now, however, after giving away Lamar for nothing that can help the team this year, there is no scenario I can envision where the Lakers won't be a much weaker squad this season.

point is if he went more inside he'd probably be a more efficient scorer, he shoots way to many jumpshots and even shoots a worst percentage than lebron, I think most would agree that he's a better jumpshooter than lebron yet since he rely's on the jumpshot he takes forced and bad shots.

I realize half of Denver's team is in China, but if you honestly think that there wasn't much of a difference in what Denver got back than from what Cleveland got back, so be it.

I hate typing this but I tend to agree with Kash here. From middle on through to the end of their season I saw him doing this a lot.

I know it is later in his career and much like MJ did, he relies much more on that turn around or stop and pop J. I saw him do this almost too often it seemed, yea he makes some amazing jumpers but damn, he was frustrating me with some of those shots.

But I digress, lets not turn this into one of those threads.

I never said I liked that he took that many jump shots. Simply said he doesnt need to get to the rim, it's not a huge part of his game. In the offense as it was designed with him having to handle the ball, generally he had to though. That's why I think he'd greatly benefit being able to position lower in the post and in sweet spots from off ball screens with CP3 running the offense around, freeing up Kobe to exploit things.

New Jersey Nets point guard Deron Williams called NBA commissioner David Stern a "bully," and said it made him "smile" when he heard Magic center Dwight Howard had requested a trade to play with him in New Jersey.

"He knows he's a bully, ain't no secret," Williams told reporters Sunday, when asked about Stern. "I think everybody knows that."

Williams was responding to a question about Stern nixing a three-way blockbuster trade that would've sent New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers for a package of players. The Hornets are owned by the NBA, and Stern said more pieces needed to be added to make the deal acceptable. The Lakers eventually pulled out of the trade and moved in a different direction.

"You're fighting a bully, man. David Stern is a bully," Williams said. "You can't really go up against him, man."

"I think every owner of every big business is a bully," Williams continued. "That's how they become successful."

Look bruh, CP3 is not - IS NOT - coming to LA. Get that through your head.

Dwight is not coming to LA if they're gonna offer an injury prone center who might reach his potential, and a 31-year-old PF who needs someone else for him to reach optimal effectiveness. OK?

I understand you love your Lakers, but I'm tired of all these delusional rants about how CP3 will do this and that for the Lakers, and how Dwight and Kobe would "tear through the league."

Can you PLEASE move on, or actually leave the Laker bias at home and contribute to the conversation in a sensible way? A couple people here are tired of you going on and on about something that isn't even close to happening.

Gotta love this FA period. Went out to watch UFC 140 and Khan/Peterson last night. Before the fights, the Lakers were close to signing Paul. Get home and deal is off.

Today went to a bar to watch the early NFL games. Before the the games, West to Boston was a done deal. Now, looks like he's a pacer.

                                Let me get this right

Delusional rant about how CP3 would benefit the Lakers in a trade that they've been discussing for the last 24 hours?

Or delusional speculation on how this trade will or wont happen? Seems like I'm talking basketball while you're talking speculation.
