Gordon is good, but Paul upgrades that team TREMENDOUSLY. Paul took the Hornets to the Playoffs and competed with the Lakers by himself. He'd do the same with the Clippers, and he could help Blake develop into possibly the second-most dominant big-man after Dwight. If I'm the Clippers, I jump all over it.
I think you might be confusing developing with complementing.

As we've seen, Blake isn't a back to the basket type player...yet. If anything, bringing in Paul will encourage to continue to play how he plays, which is the up-tempo, alley-oop, pick and roll style.

Not necessarily a bad thing what-so-ever. But there are pros and cons to each move.

Personally I think they can get by without Paul. Yes he's a game changer, but Gordon can be to. Remember, he's only 22 and coincidentally averaged 22 PPG last season.

As we reported earlier, Eric Gordon would likely have to be included in a deal for the Clippers to get Paul, but it's becoming clear that he wants to play with Griffin in L.A. In addition to Gordon, the Hornets reportedly want Chris Kaman, Eric Bledsoe, Al-Farouq Aminu and at least two future first-round picks in exchange for Paul. Obviously David Stern is trying to break the bank for Paul."

Isn't this practically their whole starting lineup? No thanks if I'm L.A.
this is why Stern is a commish and not a GM. There is no way the Clips should give up that much.

So CP3 would rather play with the Clippers than the Celtics?

Think of it as a Pass Rushing DE or a Run stopping DT they only have one skill but that skill is huge in NBA with today's quck penatrating guards you need a big man who can alter and contest shots in the paint

Tyson Chandler didn't block a lot of shots but he was huge at altering shots in the paint or covering up for mistakes by Dirk, Terry and Kidd

It allows perimeter defenders to become more aggressive and instead of giving of air space they can press up on a guy more because they know they have a big guy who can contest shots at the rim.

Most of today's Centers are limited offensively so if you can get a guy who does one thing great play defense you have to over paid for them.

I actually think a guy like Chandler is even better in a Zone Defensive scheme because of his quickness and length

I'll admit, I'm not too sure on how a PG affects a guy's development.

I'm just saying, CP3 would make them a playoff team, at least next year, which would be his last year. I have to assume he would be able to get Blake the ball effectively though, at least. But the post-game is on Blake.

I guess because playing with a younger talent with Griffin. With Celtics, I would see it just being for a season because it might be a rebuilding team in a year or two.

Yeah, that why Chicago loves him. He kind of has a right to an ego with his talent, but he's humble. If he keeps up on the pace he's on, he'll get a banner at the United Center for sure. I can't imagine Chicago letting him retire with another team.

Just quoting you because I'm too lazy to find the original post, but I think it's only 2 starters in there. Bledsoe and Aminu aren't the starters.

                          Yeah Rose just gets it.

As far as the LeBron thing goes, he said he wasn't going to try and recruit him.

If Chicago ever let's Rose go, I would never forgive them. He IS Chicago, through and through.

Paul to Blake can be generally as unstoppable as Nash to Amare. Just surround with shooters.

If he went there, it would be insane to see D'Antoni go too.

Now yesterday Rick Carlisle said the Mavs weren't done making moves

They have a opening at backup PG and they are offering 1 year deals to bargain players....

JJB is refusing to take the deal so it wouldn't surprise me if they choose to not pursue Dalembert at Center they look into Arenas as the backup PG
