But giving up a pick and/or the Trade Exception is excessive for a second half rental like Felton.Comment

The only reason I'd take Felton is if it leaves left over assets to go after... say... Beasley. Then Lakers would pull away with the two upgrades that can push the roster to being respectable again.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

Dont think Felton is a good fit at all, needs a faster paced team with shooters, which LA doesn't have. Also don't utilize the PnR, as Kobe even recently said something to the extent of "we know our identity, we aren't a pick and roll team, we're a post up team".

I wouldn't be mad.
I understand that Felton's production has dropped and he isn't looking like the Felton of last year both statistically & physically (Portland thinks he's a bit on the heavy side). But I honestly think a fresh change changes that with him. You've seen it happen before, guys come over to the Lakers and suddenly their performance & production rise.Comment

At the end of all this, if we ended up with Felton & Beasley...

I'd be thrilled with a double upgrade, but not just Felton.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

What do Lakers fans want? A PG who just shoots 3 pointers?Comment

It's like..nah...we don't want John Stockton. Runs too many pick & rolls.
I think Lakers fans are going through withdrawal right now.
Don't worry fellas...only 4 more months until Christmas...err..umm...July.Comment

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
Right!?
At this point, Lakers should take what they can get, and Felton is probably the best option out there for them. I think a change a scenery would do him well.
Do you guys forget how good he was in NY? He would be a welcome addition to the current depth of PGs on their team.
Arenas is definitely not the solution to the problem. If I was LA i would stay FAR away from him.Comment

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
I honestly think Felton would be a great fit. He's a very solid PG, and it seems to me that he's the kinda guy that can play in both a halfcourt set-up and a more up-tempo set up. And he's a guy that can score as well as setting up teammates, which would be nice for the occasional time that Kobe is actually on the bench.NFL: Bills
