True, but on the perimeter. I think the Magic could live with that, especially if their interior defense was that stout.

Wright is a decent defender when he applies himself.

But yes, Nelson and Ellis are like matadors lmao

Golden State's haul might not be too bad, I guess. Those Orlando dudes fit their offense well, it gives Curry free reign as their guy, and they've been wanting a legitimate center for a long time now. That is if they're able to re-sign Kaveman though. Regardless, he'd still be a good expiring contract.

I just feel like the Warriors are almost donating Monta to Orlando to help the "Dwight Doesn't Leave" fund afloat. Hell, when you have the Hornets involved it almost makes you think Stern is getting his Godfather on behind the scenes.

BTW, Hedo's contract isn't expiring, is it? Pretty sure he's got some years left on that ******* deal that was given to him a couple years ago (Bryan Colangelo, everyone! )

Yea, I forgot about that. He has a player option after this season. Which chances are he will accept.

Also, here's something I don't like from Orlando's side of things: sure they acquire one of the better scorers in the league and are doing what they think will keep Duhwight happy and content enough to stay. But adding Biedrins at $9 mil for another 3 years is going to help their flexibility in building a better team how? And acquiring Monta Ellis doesn't change the fact that Miami and Chicago are going to whup that *** in the playoffs. It just gives them a couple more playoff wins.

Obviously we have to wait and see the full details if this deal even gets done but I don't see this as that big of an incentive to make Duhwight think twice about leaving. He'd still be playing with a roster that isn't up to par with the other title-contending teams, and he'd still be stuck hoping that things can get better instead of just upright leaving and going to a team like the Clippers or teaming up with a legitimate superstar in Deron Williams instead of a really good scoring 2-guard in Monta Ellis.

I know it seems like Deron to Dallas is imminent, but wouldn't having Ellis and Howard on a team, make persuading Deron to come to Orlando a little easier? I'm not sure of Orlando's cap details but trading Hedo, J-Rich and Redick would free up alot of that no?

I guess that we would have to assume that Dwight is willing to stay, which seems like no shot.

Depends on their cap and remember they already used their amnesty clause on Gilbert so now you'd be trying to find other teams to dump those awful contracts on, which I'm not sure you'd find many especially with the new CBA kicking in next year.

What more does Dwight want then?!? Turkoglu for Durant straight up?

                Leave then!

You hold the Front Office hostage and then he's gonna **** on them when Orlando gets bounced out of the playoffs?

                F him!

According to that quote it's the other, less talented Richardson that would be getting shipped out. Not the more talented, but declining and overpaid Richardson.

And no, I don't think it'd make a situation where Deron could sign with Orlando any more possible. Taking that report as is, Orlando's sending out about $22.4 million in salaries and taking back $23.8 so they're adding salary (albeit a small amount) and they're already around $11 million over the cap. Unless they did some serious work in the off-season I don't see how it could happen.

If what we've been being fed from the reports is true, he wants movie roles, warm weather, big shoe contracts, to still be loved by the fans, etc, etc, etc. He wants it all but apparently he's too stupid to realize he can't have it all.

If that is truly the case, he might as well just legally have his name changed to Duhwight.

The Blazers and Clips are discussing a deal that would send Jamal Crawford to L.A. for Eric Bledsoe and Ryan Gomes, sources say.

This should happen. It'd be nice from both sides IMO.

I'm so disappointed in Portland though. Maybe it's just me but they seem like they should be way better than 20-21.

Actually, next season, IF the trade goes through, barring what the Hornets give/take, the Magic would only be on the hook for 31 million with Biedrins and Ellis on the roster. They would have to decide if they wanted to resign Wright, or let him walk. However, if they are going to pursue Deron, they would probably let him walk. I'm not sure the cap limit for next season, but it leaves them roughly 24 million to sign those 2 guys?

There would be restrictions, but they could get creative and make it work, especially if these guys REALLY want to win like they say they do. Weren't there supposed to be cap issues with the Heat fiasco? They compromised to make it work.

Again, this is assuming Dwight has any interest in staying.

Have ORL make those moves and Dwight hold them hostage through FA anyway / walk away when it comes time.

                              Yeah, probably so.

Again, at least they would get something for him. Better than getting nothing and still being on the hook for all that money for a bunch of bums.
