    New NBA flopping policy.

Warning on first offense, then fines of $5K, $10K, $15K and $30K for offenses 2-5. A players 6th offense will lead to a larger fine and possibly suspension.

And Skip Bayless thinks its a dumb idea -- I seriously thinks he says stuff just to stay on TV -- no way he believes that.

CB1 is draining 3's like a madman.. Dexter Pittman lost some weight!

Ray and LeBron look good together

            Still loving Terrell Harris

            At this point Gladness>Pittman

And it's over. Like what I saw, Ray went 5/9 and 3/6 from 3.

I'll wait to see if they actually enforce that flopping rule.

I ain't forget when Stern said threatened players with Fines and Suspensions before and yet it still continued to happen so why should I believe it'll be different now?

                Interesting point from Battier:

"The unfortunate thing about the block/charge (distinction) is that I’ve had many, many times where a ref told me that you have to go to the floor to get the call. By the letter of the law, I’ve taken a hit, but I’ve stood on my feet. Even though I’ve gotten nailed, the ref calls it a no-call. I say, ‘Ref, what’s wrong with that (charge)?’ He says, ‘You have to go down to get the call.’

"Inherently, there’s something wrong with that.”

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Dana Davis, vice president of basketball operations for the Memphis Grizzlies, has been found dead in his apartment. He was 56.
The Grizzlies confirmed Davis' death in a statement Wednesday night without elaborating. The Commercial Appeal reported Davis had not been heard from since Tuesday, prompting team personnel to enter his apartment Wednesday with officers from the Memphis Police Department where they found Davis.
Davis, who was nicknamed "Double D," oversaw player development programs for the Grizzlies and handled the travel schedule, accommodations and security on the road.
Owner Michael Heisley said Davis was an original member of the management team when he bought the Grizzlies in 2000 and added that he would be greatly missed.
Davis also had served on the board of the National Civil Rights Museum.

If they are going to be as strict with flops as they were with player argument technical fouls last year, they will cut down big time.

The fines are a decent start if they are actually enforced. I would much rather have the flopping addressed during the game via a challenge and replay system similar to the NFL. As a fan, I don't care if a player is fined if that player during the game in question isn't punished for his flop. Example, if a player flops and gets foul shots to win a game, then the fine doesn't give my team the win.

I don't mind some flopping -- like Varejo's flops, most of them, are just exaggerated contact. I mean, the action and his reaction flows so it looks natural -- I'd hate him to be penalized unless it actually looks obvious like the Chris Bosh sniper kill flop. Those are the flops that need to go IMO.
