Re: NBA Off Topic
So I went to the Clippers/Bucks game on Saturday night. This is the second time I've seen Chris Paul in person. The first time was in New Orleans against the Thunder. He is worth every dollar, and then some. The way he controls the half court is unparalleled by any other PG in this league not named Steve Nash.
The way he's able to manipulate and maneuver a defense is a thing of beauty to watch and can't be fully appreciated watching on TV.
Also, if you have never been to a Clippers game, they put on an absolute show during pre-game and then proceeded to put on a show during the game as well.
Finally, I can't tell you how Brandon Jennings is an NBA basketball player. Guy is atrocious, with a capital A. Probably the worst overall performance I've witnessed in person. Turnovers, bad shot selection and just genuinely not making anyone better. Really hope the Bucks don't make the mistake of tossing money at this guy.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

He played pretty well in the game I went to. He's incredibly streaky, and he does make some questionable decisions but he's also undeniably talented. They need to find someone who will reign him in and help him develop that talent into production(like Ridnour did)Support Local Sports

Re: NBA Off Topic
Just an observation but one thing I've noticed lately about the NBA Forum is that unless there's some sort of drama going on, there really hasn't been much to talk about.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NBA Off Topic
I would love to talk about more teams... truth of the matter is without LP, you don't get to see much of that. Last year there were just a ton of games on.
Clipps, Grizz, Thunder, Knicks have been great, but in the beginning teams were coasting a bit and it seemed a bit boring. We haven't even gotten well into discussions on things like how the new flopping rules are working out, among other thingsComment

Re: NBA Off Topic
Yeah he has the tendency for some of that, but he's also put up impressive numbers over the past few years and I believe he's having his best season yet this year, so to say you don't understand why he's in the league seems a bit drastic.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Re: NBA Off Topic
He does have a nearly 3:1 assist to turnover ratio, so while he might make bad decisions its usually because the decisions end in poor shot selection, not because of a terrible pass.
The closest he is efficiency wise is Baron Davis who wasn't putting up stellar shooting numbers either in his career....Comment

Re: NBA Off Topic
Maybe I used a bit of hyperbole in that post, but he is not a formidable NBA point guard and definitely not a guy I would put a lot of stock in as a someone I'd want to build my team around.
Guy has not put up impressive numbers. He's had impressive games. But he's wildly inefficient and doesn't get to the line enough to make up for his streakyness. If his jumper isn't falling, he's pretty much a liability on the court, especially on defense.
Just think there are more cons than pros in terms of this guy's career moving forward and some the Bucks should take a serious look at before throwing a contract his way.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: NBA Off Topic
Well its not like coaches are selecting him to the all star team.
I don't even remember if he played much in Europe when he went.
I've seen him in person.. posted a pic here from Venice Beach... he should at least be able to make layups thoughComment
